earlier they said Shaun Alexander was pretty close to going to Michigan. Never knew that.
Would have been dangerous
Michigan was extremely close to getting him. I read somewhere that there was a unexpected Alabama plane trip that basically dropped him off in Tuscaloosa.
....Michigan wins again.
BUT PAAWWWWLLLLL!!!!
We were up at half and now....ROLL TIDE.
Game I've seen live
I was at this one as well. Nerve-racking, but felt like they all were back then...
2004
1st best was the 28-0 game against Ohio when they were bound for the Rose Bowl with a win. It was the game that proved to me what jackasses OSU fans are.
I just looked to see what games would be playing in the next week. If you read this remember to record the 1993 Rose Bowl, 1998 Rose Bowl, Michigan-Auburn bowl game, and Michigan @ Minnesota 2003.
Hoke sighting!
just saw hoke on the sideline. he was screaming but not pointing :(
Great final game for Brady: finished his career with a career-best four TD passes on 34-of-46 passing for a UM bowl record 369 yards. And David Terrell wasn't so bad either: 3TDs, 150 yds and the MVP.
When he missed that extra point I was so freaking happy! I'll never forget that game.
First half was very bad. Bob Griese and Brad Nessler started talking more and more with Joe Namath than covering the actual game on the field.
I totally forgot about that crazy pass attempt after the field goal block at the end of regulation.
You know then part of me felt bad for Alabama, losing like that....but now after the Sabin effect....no such feelings.
I didn't feel bad for them even then. Three years earlier, they beat us on an interception return in the fourth quarter (of a game we otherwise controlled).
Man, if Shawn Thompson never got hurt in that Bowling Green game the next season he would've gone down as one of the best tight ends to come through Michigan.
I miss that bootleg pass to the tight end. Always good for 15 yards
<br>
I am excited to see Koger & Co. used more often in this new offense. Tight ends can be a dangerous weapon.
The bootleg pass to the TE won us a National Championship in '97. Griese to Tuman is etched in my memory under so many clutch situations in '97 using this play, often for large chunks of yardage. My favorite play of the Lloydball era.
After watching this game again, I forgot how often we stretched the field to Walker, Terrell, and Knight. I guess it's easy to do that with Brady slingin' the pigskin.

It's really too bad that this was the highlight of Tom Brady's football career...
