The warning came up on mine as well, but I also am running a MacOS so took the risk.
Ditto here.
This is one of the things I hate about mgo. You come on here to say ditto here? I realize that its prolly lonely in Alaska and you prolly don't have a lot of friends but do you really think anyone else gives a shit if you're running OSX?
It might be helpful to Brian or someone else to know that two people have the same issue in Chrome on OSX.
Compared with the space you take up with your posts, that was nothing. At least mine had the intention of being useful.
You think the brain cook can't figure out what is going on? You have a lot to learn. As much fucking time as you waste on this site, you'd think you would know more than you do. DIAF
So why have the thread in the first place? Why did the site ever go down before? If Brian knew every single thing in the world, there would be no thread about problems on browsers and the site wouldn't have crashed before. Brian is smart, he's not all-knowing.
Are we just here to listen to your amazing jokes and humor? If so, I'm disappointed I haven't gotten to hear some awesome Brett Farve/peeing in buttz jokes. Those are hilarious and you do an excellent job satirizing a "normal" blog poster.
Are you butthurt captain butthurt?
Brian is smart, he's not all-knowing.Holy shit you're kinda dumb, no sugarcoat
Risk going on my MAC OSX RUNNING SAFARI just so I can log on to tell you you are being a dick. But I'll just use my phone. Stop being a dick.
Great now you're gonna affect the rest of the world with INTERNET AIDS. +1 to you
Your avatar is irrelevant and odd, therefore, I consider your statement invalid.
you don't have an avatar so diack and nuts on yer birfday
it is good to know if this is an isolated incedent or if we should be aware of something bigger. Thanks for contributing though. Now go back to sleep.
Shows up on FireFox but allows me with no issue on Explorer.
I had the same pop up come up when using Chrome
Firefox is angry at mgoblog as well...couldn't take the chance on my pc, so I'm using the iPhone app.
Yeah I got the warning too, got it a couple hours ago
RCMB sneak attack?
Perhaps you are unfamiliar with the folks over at RCMB:
Firefox gave me the same malware warning, but I'm using IE at the moment and it hasn't seemed to notice the problem.
That says it all that IE will let you browse a suspect site no problem. While Firefox actually cares about your system.
is an evil genius who only cares about separating people from their money. Kind of like Colnel Sanders, who puts an addictive chemical in his chicken that makes you crave it fortnightly.
/end obscure Mike Myers movie reference
Chrome is giving me the same message, but I have AVG, and it hasn't picked anything up
"So I Married an Axe Murderer" is not obscure.
No warning on OS X/Safari.
On the plus side, the timing is far better this time then last. Sucked trying to get info having just changed coaching staffs and being close to signing day. Offseason is a far better time for the site to explode.

Just got it using chrome. On my android phone to post this...
Getting it on chrome as well... Just going to read on the android app for now.
However, it is working normally (for me at least) on internet explorer...
When I checked the Google page ("Why was this page blocked?" button) it shows that Google has not detected any problems with the page. However, the host network for MGoBlog, AS28144, "THEPLANET", contains sites with malware, which is why Google is blocking it.
It's probably run by a bunch of tOSU grads....
You give tsio's grads too much credit
with Firefox....taking my chances anyway, since I love me some MGOBLOG!
But my phone anymore. So no problems for me haha
At least it's on the work network... LOL
I got it on Chrome and Safari at home, but my Firefox at work seems not to care.
Actually I am getting it my work fire fox now.
Must be why it's so slow here today. Mac/smart-phone party up in here woop woop!!
This is getting to be a frequent occurence here. Seriously not cool.
I think it was Friday, but every 5 min or so while having the site up it would start to open/download a file. I have a Mac so I wasn't worried and pressed cancel. Buy I wonder what it was doing to all the PC ppl. Whisk I could remember the name of the file
That ad linked above the header looks mighty suspicious to me. Hmm . . .
I'm on safari on a Mac and haven't had a problem, but over the last couple of weeks my PC hasn't wanted to let me in either. I'm wondering if there isn't a bigger problem than the ads?
I am getting malware warnings on mgoblog.com with Safari 4.1.3 with mac OS X 10.4.11 on old iMac LCD with PowerPC G4 chip. Since I don't have an intel chip, I threw caution to the win and turned off the warning and posted here. I get similar warnings with Safari on Mac OS X 10.6.8 with intel chips.
When you click through the warning to Google entry for the mgoblog.com site, it seems benign.
good luck!
P.S. - No malware warnings on my iPodTouch with mobile Safari with iOS version 4.2.1 - Not sure if they access the google malware database. While Safari, Firefox and Chrome all use Webkit on Mac OS X, this does not seem like a Webkit bug, rather a Google malware database effect.
Firefox/Chrome with Adblock+ and NoScript are your only friends.
I don't use Adblock because most of the sites I frequently visit I'd like the chance to support through advertising, and occasionally I have bought useful things from the banner ads (God am I a sucker for Michigan apparel). I do use a flash-block though, becuase people who use obnoxious flash ads are not worth my time.
I'll stop using adblock when these sites do something about the ad servers. If you are looking to spend your money on UM gear then google can be your friend, you don't need ads filled with malware to ruin your mgoblog experience. Believe me when I tell you that when you get some nastiness that wipes all your stuff out you'll be kicking yourself and wondering why you wanted to view those ads.
If you use Chrome or FF you'll still get that message due to the google police state in effect. Whether or not there is malware, someone got hit and had it reported as a malware distro site.
This sucks. Cant use mgo at work or on my laptop. Thank god for the app
You're welcome

Just as I'm switching jobs from Mac to PC it all comes back...and I'm not going to be a testing bunny. App during the day it is!
