Are we there yet?
scarlet is hot.
When i was a kid and id ask my dad this question hes say "just be quiet..we will be there when we get there"
+1000 to you, good sir. One of the best Far Side cartoons ever.
Floating Head of Death was the name of my first fantasy football team.
Because Tom said so. Obey Tom, or prepare to suffer the consequences!!
It's OK to unbuckle. Tom said so.
Links or it never happened.
I don't remember where it was, but I saw Tom say we could unbuckle. Apparently he heard some stuff from some friends, but the stuff he thought might happen didn't happen.
He said so in this thread: http://mgoblog.com/mgoboard/tomvh-jarrod-wilson-announcement-set
TomVH -
haha, alright alright you guys can unbuckle. I was told a few things by a couple people I trust today and thought something would happen. We'll see when it does.
not sure seats 7 through 10 in the old station wagon even had seatbelts back in the day...
I just had a semi-anxiety attack looking at that. Did people really use these vehicles in AMERICA!?
but yes, we had a Ford station wagon deathtrap that seated "10" once you included the four tiny seats facing each other when you opened up the hatch in the "way back." If you were much older than 6 years old, your knees were pretty much in the face of the kid across from you. With the hatch closed, and the back seat down, you only seated 3 but had a boatload of space for lumber, movin' to Californy, etc. Tried to find an actual picture, but could only find this drawing (I guess it was an upgrade, so might've been kind of rare). Other station wagons had hidden seats in the back that faced backwards, not sure if they seated 2 or 3.
Ours didn't even have automatic steering.
told him things that have not yet come to pass - apparently timing has changed... do, however, note the use of the word "yet"
DUDE, Tom thought some stuff was going to happen that didnt get over it man, plans change things change. if you think its easy then you should do it yourself.
Come on, DUDE. Are you serious with that post? Was that english?
He wants everything now. He is just being a selfish douche
English Mutha Fucka, can you write it? And yes I know!
I stayed close to the computer last night because of the excitement. I hope things unfold sooner than later.
Please use restraint in posting as your impatience really does not warrant this thread. Whining is not a characteristic of a true Wolverine fan. MSU, sure. But never a Wolverine.
We should buckle up tomorrow?
any family trip to the Grand Canyon. TVH had us ready by noon yesterday, and I know something will happen, but this weekend is going to draaaaaag until the news does eventually drop. 1st time all year Tom goes out on a limb like that and he got burned. That's just bad luck.
Ok ok ok I unbuckled. But I would like to know again when we have to buckle
If you knew why you had to buckle, wouldn't that defeat the purpose of the buckle?
a lot of existential angst the past couple of weeks after watching Kung Fu Panda 2 with my daughter. No, I'm not kidding. For some reason, those movies speak to me.
And, so did this post. On one hand, the buckle seems to have only one tangible function - safety. Yet, the process itself creates an intangible sense of control.
(shrugs)
Take your wallet out of your back pocket - that always helps me when it gets uncomfortable after buckling up.
Have unbuckled & calling it a day per Sam Webb, since nothing's going down.
Good lord - here let me do the math for all of you that aren't obsessed with 17-year old boys as I am (wait, what? um... nevermind):
There were people "in the know" yesterday that Tom and the guys at Rivals use as "trusted sources". Those people sent out notes that a recruit (which I am 99% sure is Kalis) was likely to commit yesterday. And he did not.
End of story. Unbuckle.
You'll need to stay buckled in until the first Tuesday of Feb 2012 when these kids sign their LOI. It could be a bumpy ride should UM disappoint on Saturdays and kids verbally de-commit.
My advice is crack open a brew and not worry.
If you follow recruiting there are ALWAYS ups and downs. It gets pretty turbulent. If the cabin loses pressure remember to put on your oxygen mask on first before assisting others.
A fasten seatbelts indicator at the top of the front page. Tom can simply flip on or off the switch like on a plane. Then we can avoid all these useless board posts about people asking if the sign is on or off.
^seconded. When I get the buckle up sign...I can't help myself but to F5 every 30-35 seconds.
I can stay buckled in for a while...
We just don't know what's transpiring outside our tinted windows.
She likes the buckling.
