A 5 star would be a nice compliment to our class!
I would think the OL will start dropping soon. If Peat plans on making a late decision their might not be a spot for him.
That would be sweet. I live in tempe and I know first hand how much of a beast this kid is. This is the first step in getting him into our recruiting class. GO BLUE!!!
All your linemen are belong to us.
/fixed. thanks, bnagy05.
Peat is an O-lineman
He said he is an offensive tackle, which is an O-lineman.
I think he was responding to the post above his (nikj's), but he just didn't respond to it so that the poster could edit it. It's now fixed to say "linemen" but he was just correcting the above poster, not the OP.
Not sure why he has all the negs, so i'll +1 to make up.. even though it means nothing..
So much talent. So few spots. AND IT'S ONLY JUNE
I just can't get over how amazingly recruiting is going. Frickin' awesome. The fact that he's willing to take an unofficial out from AZ really says something about his level of interest. I hope he has a fantastic visit and look forward to Tom's post-visit interview.
Why is there a question mark in the title?
I'm Ron Burgundy?
It's because it hasnt been confirmed yet.
Twiddles thumbs waiting for TomVH.
tom confirmed on twitter
....he had this to say:
TomVH 5 Star Arizona OL Andrus Peat is making his way to Notre Dame and Michigan Sunday to Tuesday of next week.
so he might be visiting. Not really sure.
Tomvh confirmed via Twitter
Is he the one that has the brother who already plays line for Nebraska, or am I thinking of someone else ?
That would indeed be the one my friend.
I'd like to have the kid, but that might be a tough pull. Thanks for confirming that for me though.
His brother and Der Weiner Slinger. Can't believe this kid hasn't signed with Huskers already.
I think we can find some room for him... Just another huge Hoke signing if he were to commit.
I rarely enjoy the Scout write-ups on these kids because after a while they get repetitive. However, the following quote makes me want him on campus even more:
"Has plenty of nasty in him"
I bet morris would be happy if he wpuld commit. Hoke wants build a good wall for his qb of the future :)
615Wolverine, was just wondering if the 615 was your area code? It is my area code is the reason I am asking. Sometimes it feels like I am a lone BLUE spec in a sea of orange.
I live in west nashville. There are a few other people on the board that live in the area as well. Arguing with anyone in the SEC is a lost cause, they just talk about their string of championships and generally have no other arguments. Not very enjoyable.
Live around the Brentioch area. Down here for 6 years now. LOVED watching Mich destroy UT in basketball this year over lunch! Hate UT.
Like when Michigan fans talk about Being The Winningest Program of all time.
Thats great news that there are a few other fellow Michigan fans in the area. Lets hope that Hoke & Co in the coming years can give us some ammo to fire back at those irrational SEC fans, he seems to be off to a good start. GO BLUE!!!
We aren't the largest alumni association for nothing - Hail to the Victors!
Andrus Peat - Would love to get this kid on board.
I hope the Arizona boys work on him during his visit. Also TomVH is also from Arizona, so anything can happen with Peat.
I am curious whether Hoke's punishment of Stonum could affect the slots Michigan has for this recruiting class. If Stonum were dismissed from the team, would that open a space? The answer to this might be obvious to some of you, but not me.
I am not saying that recruiting for the 2012 class should be a consideration about what to do with Stonum or that Hoke would base his decision on recruiting needs. I like Stonum and wish him the best. I just want to know how the scholarship limitation accounting works.
Stonum is a senior anyway. Since he graduates after this year, there seems to be no difference.
I'm sure you meant no malice by it, but it comes off as kind of a dick question.
I was worried the question would come off wrong, but it was not intended to be offensive to Stonum or anyone else. I'd like to see Stonum play again. I only wondered whether the decision on Stonum was in conflict with trying to open more spaces. (I'm still not clear whether redshirting Stonum for another year makes a difference.)
The coaching staff is waiting for spaces to open up to fill a class larger than the spaces we technically have available. Everyone talks about attrition, which I am sure can be anticipated based on historical averages. However, when it gets down to brass tacks I would bet that the coaching staff is actually looking hard at specific guys with an eye toward opening up spaces. Is that being a dick? Well, grown ups sometimes have to be.
Stonum is granted a redshirt year, which is possible.
Thanks.
I don't have enough points to start threads on my own so if someone can help me out that would be great. Im hearing this morning that the o$us first game against Akron is going to be a "Vest Out". I work in Findlay, Oh and all my coworkers are bucks fans. I'm wondering if anyone else is hearing this? Im having a ball right now laughing at these idiots. Sorry for hijacking this thread.
Yes, I have heard about this as well. Always good to support your coach who blatantly cheated and tried to cover it up resulting in his disgraceful resignation and possibly driving your program into the ground for the next few years. Go Bucks.
continuing to drink anyway. Sooner or later you DO have to stop, but when you finally come to have really damaged yourself. Come to think of it, some of that damage was already apparent before the scandal broke. . .
