Terry Richardson to announce tomorrow
Terry Richardson has set a press conference for 11:45 Am tomorrow. He listed a top five of USC, Michigan, LSU, ND, and Alabama.

Sooo...i'm guessing this is good for us.
If he doesn't choose Michigan then that will be a huge shock.
That's a nice top 5. Every indication seems positive for Michigan. Hopefully we'll land Terry Rich and commence the natural matching second DB commitment.
My question: Will all our recruiting excitement be gone by the time the summer doldrums roll around? (I would have no problem with this, btw...)
There's always the 2013 kids.
Considering his visit was just recently, we have to assume he is a UM lean right? TomVH was unsure of what was serious and what wasn't, but Terry making his decision tomorrow has to bode well for us!
I'm all caught up to speed now. I know what's happening tomorrow, I was just unsure of when he was going to announce until this weekend when I spoke with Coach Wilcher.
Tom, with the noise surrounding Kiel is there any info you could share on the subject?
Last night on the Rivals recruiting chat Josh said that there is a lot of positive things coming from the Kiel camp. Things are starting to pick up with him. I believe Josh said there is a lot of smoke in that recruitment.
But I was on Scout and I saw a thread talking about a tweet from "DGDestroys" saying we're in Kiel's top 4. I have no idea who this is, so if anyone has any info on him and how accurate/reliable he is that would be helpful.

DGDestroys is a poster here, he knows his stuff. Hasn't been around too much lately, but I think I saw him post something earlier today or yesterday
It says his final four are Oklahoma, Mizzou, Michigan, and Alabama. I'm very surprised ND isn't in his top four. Did they cool on him and are focusing on Mauk? I thought ND was the frontrunner for Kiel, at least in the beginning.
I thought Oklahoma was the leader and that ND, learning this, had turned its focus more to Mauk and a couple of mid-level guys. Also, one rumor had GK visiting MO for the third time today, so who knows. It would be great to land him, but I am not sure what that would mean for Shane Morris in 2013. It just seems unlikely that we would be able to land both Kiel and Morris back to back, especially with Devin Gardner already here.
these top QBs love competition and do not care who is already there if they truly think they are good they will prove it. its set up like this
2011-2012 Denard starting
2013 maybe 2014 DG starting
2014-2015 maybe 2016 if he stays Gunner kiel
2016-2018 shane morris
Tom has obviously graduated from The Lloyd Carr School of Cryptic Answers (said with great respect to both Tom and Coach Carr, of course).
yeah, Tom, you sly dog. all you did there was tell us that you knew what was going on. nothing for your quivering masses?
c'mon, maybe just a nugget for the baby birds? i can't just keep refreshing mgoblog message boards until 11:45am tomorrow....
or can i?
Well - you really only need to start refreshing after 11:45am, since I'm nothing will be posted before the announcement.
Lucky for me, I'm on the Left Coast, so the annoucement will be at 8:45 my time. Not that I don't ever MGoEarlyMorning, but I won't be left in suspense nearly as long.
There's always the possibility that some dickish local sports writer ruins a good kid's moment. I feel as if that has happened before.
I just started watching Archer season 1 and I'm hooked. +1 for the pic.
your life is changed forever.....epic television
M is for Mancy, one of my favorite Archer quotes ever.
BTW, MSU better call Kenny Loggins, cuz they're in the Danger Zone!
Has he visited the other schools recently?
hearing of him visiting anyone other than us in the recent past. Hopefully that bodes well for UM. He would be a great pick up especially considering early in the process it looked like he would take his talents elsewhere.
He visited Michigan this past Saturday - so we would be the last one for him to have visited.
Crazy to think that he'd be our first 2012 skill position player.
not to be a dick, but I thought skill positions were only QB, RB and WR. and even if skill positions extends beyond that to all non-linemen, then the committed TEs would fit into that category as well, no?
But if we're dividing the world into "skill players" and "big ugly thumpers," DB would probably fall into the former category.
I'll have to tell my son he has been categorized as a big ugly thumper.
It's okay to tell your son that, but avoid saying that to a woman.
My mother was not happy.
I would count kicker as a skill position as well.
You did count it...twice.
Based on recent history I think it needs to be strictly counted as a no-skill position.
but I always thought that on defense the DB's were also counted as skill positions. I thought o-line, d-line, LB's, TE's and kickers/punters were thepositions that didn't fit the category of skill positions I could be wrong, that is just what I always thought.
At many schools, kicker is considered a "skill position." This has not been true at Michigan for a few years.
/ennui
Yes, but for 2011 Hoke has re-categorized kicking as a skill position so we won't be having to send out the big uglies to kick this year.
This is how I have thought of it. Though I would have placed kicker and punter into the skill category.
The two of you are correct and Kicker/punter should be included in that group. I don't know what I was thinking.
excellent news for the good guys.
Considering he was in A2 again Saturday, I like the way this is looking.
(AT All, because I'm very happy with what's been happening) but ND and Weis, a few years back, were having a stellar class in the spring/summer that had most irish fans ecstatic as well.
was not as observant of the success of other programs in the past. Hoke and company are still doing an incredible job.
Good news and gold poop for us!
gold poop. We have enough for a lifetime.
can never have too much gold poop
I feel more comfortable when its us against State. Hopefully he is sold on Michigan.
this has to be blue, right? iirc, i don't think he's visited any of those others. i can't see him going against his friends and picking a school he hasn't visited. i mean, from all of the personal conversations i've had with him, it doesn't seem that he's that type of kid. /s
