Logged in just to up vote you. Doing god's work. I just went to youtube and found the clipped interview.

Why give ESPN the views? I…

Why give ESPN the views? I won't watch ABC/ESPN unless Michigan is playing. I have changed my sports app to FOX Sports. I would cancel any subscriptions, if they had any worth actually having.

These are all the defensive…

These are all the defensive rankings I could get from football outsiders.

Brent Venables (Clemson, OU until 2011):

Don Brown (Michigan, BC):

Obviously, it isn't apples to apples, but I think people can see that Venables is an elite defensive coordinator. I would say 8 top 10 defenses in 13 years is impressive. He basically did nearly the same at OU, but the offenses are generally accepted to be better in the Big 12 than the ACC.

Concentration

You say Geometry is BS.  I'm wondering what your focus in math is?  I'm graduating with a major in math and my opninion is that Geometry is far from BS, it's pretty vital.  Always interested in other prespectives.

Pipkins

Pipkins looked great.  I thought he went 3 or 4 times, but maybe that was just my excitement about him demolishing people.  I didn't see who it was against, but I'm just glad to see him back and being impressive.

I believe that

I believe that we are going to improve and win at least 9 games this year, but we lost 4 games by a total of 11 points? We also won 2 games by 7 points and another in overtime.  This should not be their rallying cry.

Spaced

Spaced is such a great show.

this

This.

except

Except the B1G teams would have played their way into this title game.

I'd like

I'd like to see the browns pick him up and then draft a cb in round 2 or 3 that might take a year or two before he's ready to start.  However, I really don't think that will happen.  Good luck to him, I hope he's able to get a super bowl ring like Charles Woodson did.

shut it

I heard shut it, but I'll have to see it again now.

Agree

I saw what he was able to do with OJ Howard and I immediately thought that Jake Butt will benefit from his hiring.

Not all

Not all meteorologists are in front of the camera.

from phone

My head says the Saints. My heart says the Browns. AFC North is the Browns for the taking.

Heh

Just read the requirements to graduate with a bachelor's in meteorology.  I still sit in amazement every time a meteorologist has to sit next to the people that got a journalism or communications degree, and take their stupid jokes.

I would laugh at them and tell them to try and explain atmospheric dynamics.

After doing the research about what it requires to become a meterologist, I actually watch the news just for the weather.

Georgia

I reminds me a little bit of Marshall/Gurley out of Georgia.  Marshall was the more heralded recruit, but Gurley looked better his freshman year.

I love that we got Green and Smith in this previous class.  I think they're both going to do great things at Michigan.

Avery

The people that were worried about Avery might be calmed a bit by this.  It does seem like a lot of us thought.  He is a talented, but will probably lose the starting corner position to Taylor.  The coaches seem to want to give Avery every oppurtunity to get on the field, so they are giving him reps at safety as well.

Same thing

I was thinking the same thing.  Except this time Avery, unlike Woolfolk, isn't going to be a must starter.  He's moving around for depth and the ability to get more playing time.

Costs

Playstation Plus is $50 a year and is only needed for multiplayer access.  Xbox Live Gold is $60 and I'm pretty sure you have to use it for any online service.

Good movie.

I thought it was good, as good as any comic book movie outside of The Dark Knight. Yes they kind of mess with the Superman mythos, but this is the 21st century, let's not act like this wasn't eventually coming. Hell, they killed Superman in the 90s.

Too bad

Hilarious. I'd up vote, but I'm on my phone.

Troll

You started off questioning whether he was a great Wolverine, now you're saying specifically quarterback. He was one of the brightest spots in some very dark days of Michigan football history. For that reason and more, Denard will always be remembered.

Hart, Henne, Long

Where all 0-4 against OSU. We can all use stats to say what we want. Doesn't mean they, or Denard, didn't matter greatly to the Michigan football program.

I need

I need to check those out.  One of the reasons I don't play anymore is the cost of the new cards.  I have a group I play with, with no set restrictions, but we just don't get together as much as I liked to for game nights.  I'm going to look into those, thanks.

Respect

I respect a person who blogs about football and magic the gathering.  I often get stares when I'm in a group of friends that love one of those subjects, and the other happens to come up.  The two are a rare mix; they may not be on this board, but in the the greater world, those two subjects rarely intertwine.

Wow

Nice, big blue and the ole $, the 2 for 1,

Win

This wins the thread.

You're too

You're too conventional. Michigan 36 State 8.

um no

How is the Big 12, who now have last year's big east champ in their conference, weaker than the big east? Oh they also added arguably the best non-auto bid conference team as well.

Thanks guys

I read about half way through the first book before I watched the series and then put it on the back burner.  I think I'm going to start where I left off in the first book.  Thanks for the suggestions!

probably thinking of

you're probably thinking of bea's restaurant, it is pretty good, but kind of off the beat path.

foodwise in chattanooga

off the wall: aretha frankenstein's (shrimp and grits and beer for breakfast)

italian: tony's (low country alfredo or lobster ravioli)

japanese: sushi nabe (music city roll or pretty much anything sushi/roll/sashimi)

all are downtown and relatively easy to get to, kinda.

i traveled

I traveled almost a thousand miles to see that game against Connecticut.  It was my first game in almost two decades.  That moment is the only clear image of that day in the stadium I have and I wouldn't have it any other way.  It was a great game, but that moment was all that really mattered that day.

?

how does one hate Arizona? I feel like it's an odd thing to muster up ill will towards a football team that is so irrelevant.. is it because of another sport, or perhaps the state is too hot for you? I have to say, I'm interested.

great post

I agree with what you said.  This team has a lot of upside and will continue to get better.

However, " I have not felt this confident about the future since 2006 at least."?  I hope you meant January 2006, because the "future" past 2006 was the worst stretch of michigan football in about 50 years.  If you would have omitted that line, there would have been no confusion and my mind would not have reeled at the thought.

Keep up the good work though.  I really like these posts.

if this is the case, I feel real good about the last 3 games, we pretty much play 2 1/2 spread run teams..

i'd be interested

i'd be interested in joining.. my psn is jeffmurdock01 and i'll take penn state.

Hmm

Anyone else notice that article is pretty much what everyone here has been discussing for months.  I read the article and I didn't find one new insight from the 'opponents'.  I'm probably overthinking this, but it seems like anyone who knows about michigan football could have posted this, then used 'opponents' in the title to try to get people to think this is what everyone else thought about us.  Anyway, it was an ok article, but nothing great.

Got Mine

I received mine today also.  I live out in georgia and also got mine today.

Nice

Nice to know the pre-reqs for using "this kid".  I meet all three, so I'll try to fit it in more often.

I loved it.

Thought this comparison showed great college player vs great talent very well.  There is no disputing that Jones was the better player in college, however Mouton has the athleticism that Jones could only wish to have.

Negatory

Stanzi might be the poor man's Ponder, but they are not on equal footing talent wise.  I think Ponder has a much higher ceiling than Stanzi.  Sure it was a risk to take Ponder so high, but Stanzi is actually a 5ish round pick.  Ponder's talents would have never let him go beyond the second round.

How does it feel to be back?

tremendous..

I second

I second this, he is awesome.

Also, that is all.

Oklahoma is cleary the most

Oklahoma is cleary the most dynamic football team in the NCAA

oh ya

I mainly 2v2, but would dig a practice partner to get my 1v1 game up or play some 2v2s with you.  My account is PlusFour and my character code is 390; hit me up if your interested.

Just for 1 season

I know he was only lights out for 1 season, but I'd take Earl Thomas.  Texas has had some great safeties in the Griffin, Huff, Jammer.  Thomas was better than all of them and that's why he left to the pros after his r-soph season.

that

that's just disturbing. i've seen a lot on these here interwebs, but damn.

Really?

Dr. Steve, Really?  That is all.
