Also one guy put out a call for a CFB game akin to Football Manager.
I rarely have "nerdgasms", but I would probably end up divorced and my child taken by CPS if this game existed. I'm on a 5 year game of Championship Manager right now (would be 10 if I didn't lose a hard drive). The problem with football (American version) with these types of games is that the match-sim is tough to balance. Do you watch every play and end up with one Saturday match per 3 hours? Or breeze through quarters and have a "I have no idea what is going on on the field" feeling?
With soccer-football sim, they only show you the highlights so you can get a lot of matches in each time you play.

Yay for the Football Manager reference. I still play Championship Manager 03/04. I'm in 2028. I essentially have no life. Kids (and a job) do that.
|2 years 47 weeks ago||Because||
Because the team was so perfectly flawless, we don't have anything to worry about...? .... ....
Or because there was not enough contiguous game to figure out what the team really can and can't do.
|2 years 47 weeks ago||Scoreboard||
Needs clearer downs, yards to go, and not as much graphical usage on the actual score
|2 years 47 weeks ago||Section 4||
I was in section 4, which is opposite the student section. The very few times the band was mic'd (I think it may have only been once?), the sound was conflicting. The speakers seemed to be either by the student section or maybe even the east pressbox. As a result, I heard the speaker music first, then a half second or second later the true sound from the band, creating a bad time warp echo.
About the band: I did not hear Temptation once!?
|2 years 48 weeks ago||Not sure if this is a dead||
Not sure if this is a dead thread, but Blind Pig/8 Ball are same owners, same location essentially. 8 Ball, if it's still around, is one of my favorite bars, pretty much because no Greek folk will ever go to a place like that
|2 years 48 weeks ago||Oh no||
University Cafe for Korean
Blue Nile for Ethiopian
8 Ball for beer and grunging.
Boo to Circus (lame bar), boo to the comic book bar, whatever it's called, and boo to Ashley's (no character imo)
Mega "wtf" to the Heidelberg changing face and no longer being the "step up" from 8 Ball and having $2 Arcadia and glass boots of lager

I am a huge Bergkamp fan, I have the jerseys, always made sure he was on my FIFA teams, etc.
Early on he was equivalent to a more finesse Zetterberg. When he got to Arsenal, he shifted into this creative Larionov-like figure.
Arsenal fans would have jerseys with #10 on the back, the name on it was God. He's an Arsenal legend (and the type of guy that the whole country of England couldn't villify)
|3 years 6 weeks ago||But||
In the world of the NCAA, does self reporting supercede NCAA finding things, regardless of media hoopla?
|3 years 6 weeks ago||Mom, they're doing it again!||
"Forced the resignation of a beloved coach with otherwise excellent reputation amongst peers"
Tressel's reputation is not anything special NOR relevant!
"Hired habitual scofflaw Lane Kiffin"
Hmm... as opposed to "continued communication between banned sketches and players"?

Klosterman pointed out that this isn't a fair fight. The black jacket guy is tied with his right hand, so if he isn't a South Paw, it's not an even fight

Just dance dubstep

Either the Voodoo Crispy or the Diesel Jerk
I can't figure out how to embed on this platform

You know his major was "Exploring", right?

They lose "The" status, and become aOSU

Link to the list of one person's 50 most insane at the top.
I'd suggest Buckaroo Banzai, personally. But tonight I'm going to watch Hell Comes to Frogtown
|3 years 11 weeks ago||GP||
I live in Grosse Pointe, but that's close to my work. I wouldn't recommend it for someone working in Farmington. Stick with Royal Oak if you're young (and especially if single). Farmington Hills itself isn't bad. Just make sure you're close to a freeway. Which sounds dumb because I think every suburb is near one of the major freeways. I try to inform my wife from Pittsburgh that even though some of the places we were looking at were near 696, it's not the best road to rely on. When it's smooth, it's the fastest. When it's not smooth, it's bumper to bumper imo
|3 years 11 weeks ago||Excellent||
Thanks for setting this up/putting in the time.
Now the question is: how can we use this to advance M football? I feel the site originally started as a quality base for news, moved into basic analysis, then provided in depth analysis (mathlete), then informative recruiting news (Tim/Tom). With this, can we establish MGoRecruiting 2.0, where recruits can have a place? Will this help the passerby look to see where targets are, and then go heckle them to join The Team?
|3 years 11 weeks ago||Well,||
Well, he did say red and not scarlet.
However, yeah, use green or fuscha if you have to, not red (or gray)
|3 years 12 weeks ago||Farked||
Is your website down?
Wouldn't it be easier to go to google maps, add the data points, save the custom map and post the link(s) here? It would save you bandwith
|3 years 12 weeks ago||<sigh>||
I never should have clicked "save" in that other thread
|3 years 12 weeks ago||Very cool||
I would like to have seen the past years. Hopefully we never become nutty enough to do this through Google Earth or a custom MGoGoogleMaps
And your username is related to Dieter Dengler!
|3 years 12 weeks ago||Mario history||
I wonder how many Mario's we've had in the past 15 years? Obviously there's The New Math.
|3 years 12 weeks ago||In state talent upswing||
Is there a reason that there has been more talent in the state recently? Is it "real", or just more exposure and awareness by nature of youtube and things?
Have high schools adjusted their styles to either create more talent, or to harness it?
I don't follow HS football, and I never played. Do HS systems adapt to what they're given, or do they force mould players into their system? Of course the answer will be, "A little of both." Right?
|3 years 12 weeks ago||Grass roots (OT?)||
What's preventing a startup of Scouts 2.0 under a freeware license? Blogs with twitter following have replaced local news, and is "better" at the college level than ESPN sometimes. Will we ever see a blog network set up its own recruiting service? Get some guys like Tim to cover games, we have youtube for film, what else is there?
Can the Midwest just have some freelancing bloggers go to a few football games, hoist up their impressions, and link to some youtube?
|3 years 12 weeks ago||BTN?||
He's going to the BTN, to tell us about Rotel.
Industry sources said Johnson has spoken with Fox Sports about a role in its college football coverage. Fox Sports (which has a 49 percent ownership share in the Big Ten Network) recently upped its inventory of college football as part of the 12-year, $3 billion contract between the Pac-10 (soon to be the Pac-12) and ESPN and Fox. The two networks will carry a combined 44 regular-season football games on ESPN and Fox broadcast or national cable networks, along with 68 men's basketball games. They will alternate televising the Pac-12 football championship game and the men's basketball tournament.

This guy will do well wherever he goes. However, only one (D1) school has wings on their helmets...
|3 years 13 weeks ago||RoJo||
Ronald Johnson was drafted? As a WR?
I remember when we were upset that we lost him to USC as a CB
|4 years 7 weeks ago||That doesn't sound like a bad||
That doesn't sound like a bad idea. But how to punish the players who have ended up screwing up current players (btw, RoJo, you should have gone here)? Although probably not a huge amount of hurt, the NCAA could remove the possibility for Bush to make any donations to the school. Any amount of money through whatever shill foundation Bush sets up can not go to USC. He's just as responsible as the school.
|4 years 7 weeks ago||Freep||
Instead of even contemplating this, why haven't enough "powerful" people condemned the freep press for screwing up our secondary by having to go all pitchfork/torch on Dorsey? The freep continuosly screws things up for us!
