So this is my cool story bro moment. My junior year at Michigan I lived with Darren and 5 other theater majors (I’m BFA class of 08). From those humble beginnings to seeing my friend rightfully winning awards brings me so much joy.
He is the kindest person I know and I couldn’t be any prouder! Go Blue!!!!!!
Some great items here. I currently have the winning bid for the Jim McElwain meet and greet. If I win it, I will ask him why he would do that to shark.
I'm sure google maps already provided you with the answer but it's just east of Bay City. You literally drive down a road and it goes from Bay City to Essexville with no fan fare.
I went to Bay City All Saints and Essexville Garber were our number 1 rivals. Ended each season with them while I was there.
I'm not a die hard Egypt fan but I'm cheering for them to honor my dad. He had something to do with getting them in and he is helping them with their draw. Egypt should advance!
My parents are Egyptian immigrants and my dad was literally the biggest Egypt Football fan ever. He lost his battle to cancer last year and I know he helped Egypt make the penalty kick to clinch their first World Cup bid since 1990.
Even if the US made it, I'd probably root Egypt over them in honor of my dad.
Exactly. I always include what I bet in what I could win. When I make a bet, I consider the money gone so when I win, it feels like I won more.
my only regret was not putting $1000 on it.
The place I made the bet had us +4.5 vs OSU, wish I took that as well.
He is talking about the 94 ceremony right now. Going in he thought you would light to torch then they told him he would just carry it. When he found out it was Muhammad Ali he said that was the right choice.
Ali is the greatest of all time. I ever get to watch him live but growing up, my family watched replays of all his matches.
I went to Michigan with the creator of that video. We made several films together and I can honestly say, this is his best work! His college work was top notch for a student film maker but this....this is....well....THIS IS MICHIGAN FERGODSAKES!!!!
Sometime in the near future when you boot up the game, you will quickly be asked to download the update. It'll probably take a minute for it to download, install, and the game to reboot. Odds are, when you get the game tomorrow you'll have to download a patch for it upon first booting the game (fairly normal for games now a day to have a Day 1 patch to correct glitches that weren't spotted until the game went final or to correct issues that couldn't have been fixed before the game went to publisher).
I do like having Alex Smith in the game, he will be a better player for the College Football style OT. Versus Hernandez who is much better with Sudden Death. #MGoTooSoon?
I haven't had time to reply to this thread but this is something I think would be pretty cool. A couple things right off the bat: I am a U of M Alum and a WWE fan, so yes, people who graduated from Michigan can like the WWE.
I've followed wrestling almost my whole life. My dad was a fan when he first immigrated to the US and would go once a month to Madison Square Garden to watch the events. When he moved to Michigan, he would be the ring doctor at local events (he met the Junk Yard Dog for old school wrestling fans).
People will say all of this is fake. I wouldn't go with fake but rather staged. Professional Wrestlers for the most part are incredible athletes who put their bodies on the line everyday. Yes, the outcome is predetermined but that does not mean they don't risk injury every match.
I think this would be great for Ann Arbor. The event would be the first weekend of April which isn't a busy time for the city. WrestleMania would probably sell 125,000-140,000 tickets to the event, shattering any American record for largest crowd. The amount of money that both the University of Michigan and the city of Ann Arbor would make cannot be ignored.
I understand many people are worried about drunk rednecks who would come to the Big House. Yes, those type of fans exist but they aren't the only ones. I've been to a few WWE events including two PPVs and the crowd is mostly kids and their families. WWE is huge with children and having young kids come to the Big House to watch WrestleMania would only help Michigan's brand with the young.
Do I think this will happen, No. Ann Arbor simply cannot handle that many people for a whole week (for WrestleMania, there is a full week of events throughout the hosting city). To have it in Ann Arbor, you would have to lean on Detroit as well. I would expect most of the fan events that happen the week of WrestleMania to take place in Detroit. WrestleMania at the Big House and Monday Night Raw the following night in Detroit as well.
Before they even think about doing a WrestleMania in the Big House, I think they should first try doing a house show or a weekly televised show in Crysler.
So far really good! I'm 5-0 with the top recruiting class so far. Denard is starting to pick it up after a tough outing against Bama which we won 17-14 (he did have the go-ahead rushing TD with less than 3 minutes to go).
I'm playing with a downloaded roster from MaizenBlue13 which I really enjoy. I changed a couple of the stats but nothing major.
The updates to recruiting are great and I'm a fan of them. I especially like the scouting feature and can change some recruits into a bust, really makes you think about pressing hard for certain commits.
One grip is that there are way too many replays and game breaks. Now I enjoy them but just they can slow down a game especially when you are running an up tempo offense.
I might be interested in starting up an online dynasty, I've never done one so if there are others who are newbies to the online dynasty, maybe we could start something?
I am playing Dynasty right now and really enjoying it. Today, I was at Norte Dame and the game kept freezing while loading. It did this 3 times in a row so I was going to just sim through the week and pick it up from there.
I decided to give the ND game one more shot but before starting it up, I switched the jerseys for both teams to the Under The Lights jersey. That got the game to load and I would go on to beat ND 21-7 with Fitz picking up 70 rush, 30 receiving and 2 TDs (both rush).
Might be worth trying to switch the jerseys before you start a week that freezes for you.
The code can be used in Contra to give the player 30 extra lives, which Lewan doesn't care for because all he needs is a twosie. It's also known as the Konami code in some circles as Contra was there game and the code can be used in some other Konami games which I forget.
Also, the code is actually: up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, B, A, Start (hit select before start if you want to use the code in two-player mode.
Just gotta say, looks like Lewan and Hoke are getting Denard ready for his big fight against Urban MeyerPopinsky
I was waking up with a horrible hangover (way too many shots last night). Turned on the TV and saw the news. I knew at that moment, this was the best birthday present ever!
I'll say it now, Morris is coming back for a 3rd year. At this point he is projecting to be a second round pick which means his contract is not guarenteed. So he could be drafted, brought to camp, cut, and looking to make his way into the league. Underclassmen should only leave early if they are a lock for the first round where their contract is guarenteed.
We shouldn't panic that he is applying for the draft, if anything, we should be proud. We have a sophomore player who could play in the NBA and possibly succeed now! The only thing that worries me is that this is a weak draft class, so if Morris tests well, he could move up to the first round, then, and only then, PANIC!

That seriously made me laugh very hard. Nice work!
Many nights of happy drinking! Also,
Morris averages close to 20 points and 10 assists per game
Michigan will have at least 2 (THJ and Morris) All Big Ten First Teamers with one more possible (Morgon? Novak? Smotrycz?)
Michigan wins the Big Ten
Michigan will be ranked higher by the end of the year than they will be at the beginning.
Michigan will be ranked in the top 15-20 at the beginning of the season.
Michigan will be a dark horse favorite to win it all.
Michigan WINS IT ALL!!!
GO BLUE!
