The Bill Lynch Gum Tossing

The Bill Lynch Gum Tossing Championship Trophy presented by Juicy Fruit.

I'm not buying this UCONN I'm not buying this UCONN propaganda. Michigan - 46 UCONN - 24
Bingo. That's what I use. Bingo. That's what I use.
LET'S GO BLUE! LET'S GO BLUE!
Brought it from SC. The first Brought it from SC. The first time I ever tailgated at the golf course, a guy walked past, noticed I had Cheerwine and offered to trade a beer for one. I just let him have one and I bring some of it every year now.
I apologize for the lack of I apologize for the lack of paragraphs. My phone doesn't format very well. Hope you understand.
Driving. I usually prefer

Driving. I usually prefer flying for trips but I really love that stretch from North Carolina through West Virginia. One of my personal favorite road trips. Leaving SC at 4 A.M. on Friday. I can't wait!

"I spent 20 minutes over the allotted time to make this sign"

Your UPSTATE SC brother

Your UPSTATE SC brother here.

Charter is saying the same thing (TBA). I remember freaking out last year because I thought I was gonna miss the game for Georgia vs. Arizona State.

We'll be getting it on ESPN2. I'll actually be at the game but I decided to DVR both channels to ensure I'll get to watch it later.

My awful mind read "foreplay" My awful mind read "foreplay" in your post and I was about to get really confused. Glad it was only a clerical error in my brain.
I love wolverines. That is I love wolverines. That is all.
After meeting actual PSU fans After meeting actual PSU fans at the game last year, I will never feel bad for them. They were absolute douchebags. Seemed like our stadium was invaded by New Jersey.
How long does it usually take How long does it usually take to receive items from the store? I definitely want to take my Save the Game shirt to Ann Arbor (driving from SC).
We should have carpooled We should have carpooled MGoCreepervan style. I'm also driving from SC. From Pelzer, about 20 minutes from Greenville
I would just take 9 shots of

I would just take 9 shots of Jack again and see if it leads you back to it. Either way, you'll feel better.

I ordered tickets off StubHub

I ordered tickets off StubHub for the UCONN game and they came in last week. My tickets look like standard event tickets, not the typical Michigan tickets I get every year. Is this normal?

Haha. Apparently so. Guess

Haha. Apparently so. Guess you have to see/experience it for yourself.

As far as your upstate

As far as your upstate question: I live in what is known as the "Upstate" region. I'm assuming you used  "deep south" sarcastically, but if you wanted to get technical, the old term is "Upcountry".

The school is located in Spartanburg (Same city Conelius Jones played H.S. football in). Yes, it is literally the "upper" part of SC.

I can't even fathom the

I can't even fathom the thought of mentioning George Rogers to my father. He would disown me. His allegiance to Clemson forbade anyone in the house from mentioning his name.

My parents are actually pretty cool. They watched a 6 year old little boy turn into a Michigan Wolverine out of nowhere. They couldn't understand why their sweet precious boy right in the middle of Clemson country wasn't a Tiger...much less why he was a Wolverine fan.

I actually took them to the Big House for a game in 2008. My dad said something like this:

(Paraphrased) "Clemson might be louder and the fans might get into it a little more, but I have never been to a stadium like this. Its like hallowed ground."

You go Pops.

This is the same guy who

This is the same guy who talked up the late Matt James for Notre Dame's upcoming season, right? Right.

I assure you, its not just

I assure you, its not just you.

Haha! True.

Not sure who

Haha! True.

Not sure who negged you for that comment. Makes no sense.

Alright Miami Heat, you

Alright Miami Heat, you better win the NBA championship...or the terrorists win.

I used the words "some

I used the words "some people" for a reason. I'm not saying it would be the majority but there are always "those people". Same thing as having the "Karen" in your group of friends. Those fans suck and Karen sucks.

Some Michigan fans would be

Some Michigan fans would be against it under the idea that the Michigan program is bigger than one man, name, etc.

...but if we can have a Schembechler Hall, we should have a Ufer Press Box. There will never be another Bob Ufer in college sports, let alone at Michigan.

I'm all for it. Go Blue!

Exactly. 99.8% of the fans

Exactly. 99.8% of the fans who don't read MGoBlog also watched Tate throw 5 picks against Ohio State in the final game of the season.

I still think the majority of our fanbase wants to see Denard line up at QB rather than Tate. Even though Shoelace threw way too many INT's, fans saw his speed. Even those who don't follow Michigan's offseason are hoping that Robinson can get enough of the offense down to showcase what a true burner looks like in Rodriguez's system.

I actually feel kinda bad for

I actually feel kinda bad for Tate. This is purely my opinion, but I think Forcier will take the first snap against UConn. Of course nobody in the stadium would "Boo" but I do think majority of the fans would be disappointed that Shoelace wasn't starting.

There were rumors of Tate transferring after Rodriguez started trying Robinson a little more at QB. Imagine if Shoelace actually starts some games. The rumor-mill will explode.

I want to win, period. Tate, Denard, Gardner...Kennedy. Just win.

I'm not sure. I'm walking a

I'm not sure. I'm walking a very thin line between whether I flat out don't care what your opinion is or I think you are a douche.

I like the idea of the pulley though. I understand that the ladder would be easier for setup but after initial installation of the pulley, imagine how simple it would be to ascend/descend to and from the horse. The ladder would just be tiring. I'm also imagining a horse the size of a parking garage so if you have a smaller horse, the ladder would be adequate.

If you want to get technical,

If you want to get technical, I called with the intention of canceling and I did in fact do that.

What the rest of the forum decides to do is up to them. I really hope you repay every record label for every single MP3 you illegally downloaded, whether past or present. Just out of curiosity, do you use a ladder or pulley system to get on your horse?

I'm not sure why but I really

I'm not sure why but I really wish SMU would win. I'm not sure if it stems from their death penalty and wanting to see them climb out of it or what but I have always wanted them to succeed.

As far as the commit goes, the other posters made the most logical sense of it but still pretty mind-boggling. Good for him for doing what he wants.

I should have been more

I should have been more specific: I think calling it one of the greatest inventions of our lifetime is a reach.

Its a nice luxury but I think

Its a nice luxury but I think your description is a reach.

Its especially difficult for me to justify paying that bill each month when I listen to metal only and don't spend 80% of my time in the car. I can listen to one channel that I love but am really playing for a million channels of garbage like Lady Gaga or Beyonce. I just don't like that.

I'll take my iPod + AUX input all day. Clearer as CD and the music I want to hear.

Satellite radio is nice but its just not for everyone.

Sorry, I'll banish myself to

Sorry, I'll banish myself to hell.

I felt the same way.

I felt the same way. Tailgating around Williams-Brice is awful. There simply isn't the correct parameters to effectively organize.

I don't know what it is but there is just something about that stadium that I absolutely hate. Most of it stems from the erector set looking lights. I just think the whole place looks...crappy.

Can you imagine if LeBron

Can you imagine if LeBron would have left Cleveland for Detroit? Haha. I'm not a LeBron fan but the chance to see Ohio burn itself would have been epic.

If anyone here ever has the

If anyone here ever has the chance to go to a Clemson-South Carolina game, make sure you go when its at Clemson, NOT USC. Columbia is fun but Williams-Brice Stadium is an absolute dump. Michigan Stadium will blow away either one of the stadiums but Death Valley's atmosphere is top notch. That place gets so loud you can barely hear yourself think at times.

Bottom line: I suck on

Bottom line: I suck on defense. The 3-3-5 helps out guys like me who can score at will but can't stop anyone on D.

It just depends on your tastes and experiences (Thats what she said). I got tired of running the 4-3 and having online opponents dance around in the backfield for an eternity only to launch 63 yard TD bombs.

The 3-3-5 honestly isn't that bad against the run. Blitzing is fun out of it and I have more opponents settle for field goals than giving up big play TD's.

You are right about the RB/FB out of the backfield though. I usually like to play with a LB selected but I switched over to my DE's in the 3-3-5. Thats honestly about the best chance for me in that situation...to catch a RB's route with a DE.

I will be running the 3-3-5

I will be running the 3-3-5 pretty exclusively so I would rather see it set up for that but like the guy above said, its not a huge deal. If the user really needs changes, it doesn't take long.

Im happy as long as I get the names. I can make the changes if need be.

I live in South Carolina and

I live in South Carolina and the OP makes me feel like a rocket scientist.

Nebraska, welcome to the Big Ten. We are happy to have you here...BUT the honeymoon is over. We played all kissy-kissy Friday but I still haven't forgotten 1997 or 2005.

I've always enjoyed Iron

I've always enjoyed Iron Maiden's music...but only their actual music. I'm about to commit metal blasphemy but Bruce Dickinson's voice makes me want to scrape out my ear innards with a rusty spoon.

Commence negbang.

Nothing new to say but

Nothing new to say but everyone keep them in your thoughts and prayers. Car accidents are scary situations and we hope everything turns out for the best. Hang in there guys.

I agree that the content was

I agree that the content was pretty broad on the Story of Us series but the production value was incredible. I was pretty impressed with the detail in visuals, which also supports the "middle school feel" to it. Haha. Completely agree with the celebs though. The last person I wanted to hear talk about "manifest destiny" was Charlie Sheen's dad. Gross.

I can go without Ice Road

I can go without Ice Road Truckers as well. I do love Pawn Stars though, which actually has some pretty interesting historical artifacts/items from time to time. WWII in HD was well done and the America: The Story of Us series was fantastic. Gangland is a guilty pleasure as well.

History Channel has some pretty odd programming but I still enjoy it better than 8 or so years ago when they featured Hitler documentaries 24/7. The OP is right though; today should deserve better than Ice Road Truckers all day. Pretty lame.

I disagree although I think

I disagree although I think it would beneficial to RR to keep his career at Michigan going.

Assuming we obtain 7-8 wins this season (Please God), RR will keep his job and the 2011 schedule with a veteran group of Rodriguez's players should mean good things.

I'm not sure how many on here

I'm not sure how many on here live or have experienced SC, but has anyone been in Charleston when it rains? It quite literally floods every street during a heavy rain.

I have personally witnessed a Nissan Altima from Ohio try to go through a flooded street as fast as they could, only to water-bog the engine and become stuck. That isn't the funny part. The neighbor beside our apartment building ran out to help, then walked back without doing anything. He informed us he had Ohio plates and he refused to help out "those damn Buckeyes".

Southern Hospitality...unless you are from Ohio.

I did the same thing. I never

I did the same thing. I never thought about trying the 3-3-5 until Michigan toyed with it and now I run it exclusively. I've noticed I give up a little more yardage but my scoring defense is tremendous. Not to mention, it seems like blitzing is much more effective.
