I had a kid

ask what 6 divided by 2 was once, and I teach high school....

doesn't Urban

use more of a passing spread?  I think Miller could be a disaster against the good teams personally and I don't think they're going to replace him for the next 3 years.  Miller passing reminded me a lot of Sheridan and Threet passing in 2008....

I constructed

a graph using team rankings, rivalry scale of 1-16 and final score of game and found that we should actually rush the court if the game is within 3 (+/- 1.2 error)....

that you don't see the logic in this.....

makes me a sad panda....

yes racism is ok in some instances

it's in poor taste to individualize stereotypes usually, but racism (per the definition I'm using for it at least) occurs so frequently that your question to me is incredibly ignorant.  Is it racist that most of my friends are white?  Absolutely, but I don't think it's wrong for me to have mostly white friends....

Schedule wise

I think we have one of the more difficult big ten schedules. The teams we miss are ranked 8 and 9 by Lindy and most would agree with him. I think that the top six all miss out on playing someone from that group. That could be a factor.

Billboard thought

Anyone know how many days it has been since they've led in the all-time series?

They're entertaining

for like 20 minutes, after that it's just really annoying.

Just throwing this out there

Wisconsin is awful, absolutely terrible. Did you watch them last year?

Reel big fish

or some kind of ska show could be good.

suggestions

1. Superhero theme songs - batman, superman, Super Mario (86) etc.
2. Cartoon theme songs - Animaniacs, Spongebob, Super Mario (86), TMNT, Simpsons, Family Guy
3. Redo that Monty Python show from a few years ago, that was the most badass marching band show ever, maybe this time add in some stuff about all of the West Virginian coaches being the holy grail?
4. Collection of stupid dance songs, Macarena, chicken dance, soulja boy, jump on it
Most importantly, anyone who suggests La Cirque De Soilet (no clue how to spell it), please shoot them in the face

your wrong

the new version of my bad? TAKE THIS GRAMMAR!

my right?

No your right! You're write?

At the spring game

I sat in front of Tay Odoms family, they were cheering for Brandin Hawthorne most of the game.

Wisconsin?

Anyone else buying wisky as the easiest road game this year?
Michigan state, Iowa and Illinois all on the road.
Wisconsin is horrible, bad recruiting, played terribly last year and don't have much to revamp with.
I'm pretty concerned about our first two games personally, Western has a ton of experience and a good team coming back, and ND might be decent this year with all of that talent. Not a good stretch to break in a new defense/qb.

going out on a limb here....

But I'm guessing boren and mallett may have been part of that group for a brief time.

Also Minor mentioned seniors not buying in last year at the end of the season. I'm guessing that doesn't include Will Johnson though.

Once you stab

one in the neck with a sharp object, word gets around pretty quickly....

Which game....

can't they win?

Predictions

Defining %s based on if we played 100x, how many I think we'd win.

Sept. 5 Western Michigan (60-75%) Lots of experience vs. Tate = worrisome

Sept. 12 Notre Dame (50-60%) favored slightly, should win, might not

Sept. 19 Eastern Michigan (98%) If Ron English weren't there, this might be 100%

Sept. 26 Indiana (Homecoming) (90%)

Oct. 3 at Michigan State (60%) Is this the year Sparty implodes? Probably.

Oct. 10 at Iowa (30-45%) I still remember the good Ferentz coaching years

Oct. 17 Delaware State (95-100%) Could be a bad DII team vs. a good Michigan team.

Oct. 24 Penn State (40-60%) I have no clue how good they're going to be yet.

Oct. 31 at Illinois (30-45%) Juice as a senior?

Nov. 7 Purdue (75%)

Nov. 14 at Wisconsin (50-75%) I think Wisky might be terrible this year.

Nov. 21 Ohio State (55%) This # goes up/down significantly if the wrong injury hits either team.

+2

Second that one. Don't forget we play tuos at the end of the year and not game one.
For all of these oddsmakers, do you want to bet that tuos will win the game in 4 years from now? If so, I don't value your opinion very much. If not, where is the line where Michigan winning is no longer improbable?

You don't think Iowa will be better than Whisky next year?

Iowa was 9-4 last year and won their bowl game and beat Penn State end of year. Wisky got destroyed (exposed) against FSU (and us) and lost more talent than Iowa if memory serves correctly.
Ferentz is also looking like a much better coach than Bielema in my opinion as well.

If we're placing bets on

Michigan alums vs. Macomb Community College alums vs. high school drop outs, I've got 50 on the Michigan alums being smarter.

Ignoring the typo

That makes no sense, we wouldn't be kicking you out because "freedom of speech". Quit embarrassing Michigan, come to grips that your Manny bashing is not wanted here and quit posting for a while.

His spot on

is none of you're business.

Believe

Does not imply a lack of science in the topic, just the understanding from the people who debate it. Like you thinking not being able to prove something makes it unscientific or not important. You don't get it.

My personal favorite

Buckeye and a spartan walking through the woods together come across a set of tracks. The buckeye fan proclaims that they are deer tracks. The spartan turns and replies, "No way, these are definitely from a dog."
"Deer!"
"Dog!"
They keep arguing back and forth until finally a train hits them.

the best part

of that article was the guy says about 3 times that he knows Harris didn't intentionally elbow him....

Georgia Tech

Ramblin wreck by far the best lyrics not involving victors and conquering heros.....

If

you can see them winning against Florida, I wouldn't expect them to be the favorite, but they could definitely win a game, then maybe they'd play BYU next.
In reality though I just don't like playoffs in college football. I would like a plus one game, but I'd rather not have it if it led to full on playoffs.

My wife was friends with Mark Spencer

(back up punter) So she managed to get a Michigan flag with 40 or so signatures from the 2005 team, Mike Hart, Jake Long, Jason Avant, Ross Ryan.
She also built me a poker table that is covered in blue and maize and block M's.
But my most cherished would just be my book that's signed by Bo Schembechler. I wish I could've met him, but I'm glad I at least have his signature.

If Georgia can go.....

9-3 and then win the national championship, then that's worse than just picking the national championship. Ditto 10-2 BYU.

factor in

the fact that we don't have Lucas Perry yet and I think it's a done deal.

by outskating, do you mean

by outskating, do you mean tried to pull more facemasks? No chance in hell State did anything better than us for a period and a half. The one goal they got was due to a bad pass and an assist from the ref. I was down in the end zone and Michigan was on offense down there the entire game.
And what the hell Burlon, celebrating his first goal ever against the michigan staters when they were being a bunch of bitches. Can't believe these kids today....

don't forget

Henton got busted with a hooker....

playoff

I don't want a playoff either, and I think that most college football fans don't. However, football fans and sports fans do, and there are more of them.
People should just attach less importance to national championships because they involve a lot of things to go right that are out of control sometimes.
If Obama were a college football fan instead of just a football fan, we'd know what team he likes.

Bo's lasting lessons

Best coaching job by Ara he'd ever seen was when Northwestern went 0-9. He did everything right that year, and that's tough when you're losing.
Rod got dealt a bad hand and he's about to make it good and soon.

haha

this guy cracks me up!

Uh, our coach didn't come in and say "Yeh, I'll give it two years and then see if somewhere better comes along" so he couldn't possibly leave.
Oh, and the fact that your worst team ever barely lost to our best team ever, how could that be an insult? Haha, you guys insulted yourselves.

Michfan1997

seems like the kind of guy to show up to the student section against state with his buddy from msu and a white michigan shirt on......

ridiculous....

If the play were over, Odoms shouldn't have dove at the ball.  Great no call, late hit calls are ridiculous, I watched two of them in the tuos-NW game where the guy gets hit as his foot lands out of bounds.  If the guy is out of bounds, then gets hit, fine, but the overprotection is absurd.  This isn't tennis....

Along the same lines

If you're sparty buddy doesn't bring you to their games, don't bring them to ours.  Fuck them.  You shouldn't have a friend from that piece of crap and it's not cool to show up with them.

Exception, if you bring your buddy to the student section, you should receive instant death and or beatings/mockery.

Christmas story reference?

If so, keep up the fantastic work....

Not feeling justice being done to the mmb

The Joe Pa was funny because he was in a museum as a dinosaur exhibit, and the tressel they called him the wine cooler king of columbus, and you left out possibly the best part, when sparty parks his car and he runs off yelling thanks little brother. It didn't match the greatness of the Monty python show, but a great one nonetheless.
I'll second you on a big fuck you to those who booed however. Most of those people were silent up until halftime, so just keep your mouth shut if that's the case.
Amazing game and Lloyd Carr stopped for a photo with us after the game.

Pretty sure

Sheridan was put in because Threet was limping.

In addition, if something were to happen to Threet, I would be happier knowing that Sheridan has at least played in some garbage time throughout the year.

corners

In defense of Warren and Trent, and I don't know this I'm just guessing, but when you're called for pass interference for looking at the guy, maybe it becomes more difficult to cover? Maybe you become more tentative? That PI in the end zone made me want to cry it was so awful.

Don't feel bad for Rich Rod, he gets to coach the greatest University ever. And no one will remember this year in 2 years anyways. No one cares about Tressel's first 7-5 year, or Saban's first 6-6 year (lost to Lousiana Technical community college). Besides, if that offense improves at this rate all year we could still rip off a very good conference record.

I completely agree with everything you said

except maybe about Sheridan, pretty sure completions only count when your team catches it.
When Mcguffie got tackled with his leg awkwardly 5 yards behind him my buddy and I were like oh fuck! And then he just jumped right up and probably did some flips off camera. Amazing...
100% agree with the Rich Rod analysis, this team is going to be pretty good, I'm looking forward to seeing what we can do with our bye week against Wisconsin and Illinois.

Seriously?

I haven't been able to sleep I'm so pumped for the Miami game. The next 3 weeks Michigan is going to improve more than any team anywhere. And that bye week is perfectly timed for us to get it together to take down Wisconsin at home. I completely agree with everything you said.

I'm planning Michigan

I'm planning Michigan getting the upset on ohio state, so with that win I think we'll lose once or twice against ND, Wisc, Illinois.  Maybe another loss at Penn State and another loss at some random team that we just blow the game.  That would be 8-4 or 7-5.

State I don't think is very good, I think they go 5-7 and lose to Wisc, Penn State, ohio state, Michigan, Illinois and maybe ND or Northwestern.

Barwis

I got to meet him at a coaches clinic, and so you can count me in the WAY overhyped on Barwis group.  the guy was phenomenal.  I was surprised though because when I was talking to my wife about stuff he does, she was like oh yeah we do those too.

But there was more too it than the type of workouts, otherwise my wife would be benching 120 more pounds than a year ago.

I'm sure

that they do, but I don't think you'll find more than 2-3 s+c coaches that are more impressive than Mike.

I think you underestimate how well copying Barwis works, check into the high schools in west virginia that his old interns went to work, and you'll find schools that won state championships that weren't that good to start.
