In my opinion 247 is the best paysite. There are extremely knowledgable Michigan posters on the wolverine homepage. I like the format and it doesn't miss out or lag too much at all on the news/offers/etc. It could definitely use more some more traffic though.
You also don't need to pay as of now to be involved with a good majority of the content. The juicy stuff is obviously VIP'd however most of the discussions are interactive without having to subscribe. I would recommend subscribing to anyone who was thinking about it, I have not had second thoughts since doing so.
First off, the student section is not half empty. It's only those nosebleeds up top. Do you ever wonder why it's only the nosebleeds? It's because us students do whatever we can to get closer to the field. Typically it's the freshmen who get seated up top. A lot of freshmen don't like being seen as freshmen based on where they sit, so they move. It's retarded, I know, but it's the way it is. I can guarantee that rows 1-80 are far more densely populated in the student section than anywhere else in the stadium.
And yes, there are a good portion of students who get too drunk before the games and don't make it. Some of you consider that I crime, I consider that being in college. Pregames are the best days of the year, so if you miss a NW or Illinois game once in a while and wake up somewhere in Ypsi, it is not disappointing.
With that said, the student section could be half full and we would still be the loudest section in the stadium. The fuckers who sit to our right either think we're on offense the entire game or don't have vocal cords. It's pathetic. When they do the 'M-I-C-H-I-G-A-N' chant, I have never once heard the I or C.
You can take a section away from us if you so desire, but those empty rows up top will never change. If you want some actual football student attendence issues, go to East Lansing.
Depending on whether you have a car, it is necessary to recommend Zingerman's for someone looking for food spots in Ann Arbor. Not directly on campus, but not too far either. Would be a great post-game meal and I'm an advocate of getting anyone new in AA to that deli. Best sandwiches I've had.
If you're talking about on-campus, although every place will be crowded I'd go with Ashleys, Mr. Spots, or NYPD. There aren't many good sit-down restaurants on campus but if you were to choose one I'd say the original cottage inn on E. William Street. Pizza house is overrated unless you're ordering cheesy bread.
Agreed with your post until the end. I do not think games like this reflect the coaches too much. This was literally men vs. boys. I would take Hoke over any coach in the country, that does not change after tonight. No judgments can be made about him until his talent (the back to back to (future) back top-5 recruiting class talent) is on the field.
I don't understand this. It's like explaining a joke to somebody. If the joke isn't funny, it isn't funny. If the mods want to delete your thread, they'll delete your thread.
Borges and Hoke both stated, all of two days ago, that Gardner is the #2 QB. I've never criticized a board topic, but this should not be a board topic. It's a bored topic
I watched it one more time from your point of view. I seriously don't know what you're watching. There were a total of 2 maybe 3 plays out of 15 or so where he could have done more. On nearly every play he shows great athleticism, quickness, speed, etc. Showed a sick spin move twice, penetrated and caused pressure on the qb multiple times, ate space, took double teams and had the two impressive sideline rundowns. This is a one game highlight against other top players in the country.
Donnal has been noticably improving his game each time I see him. How he drops that much is beyond me. While I don't think he is a top 50 player, he definitely belongs in the 60-70 range
On the Erin Andrews comment, I beg to differ. I saw her leaked video, as I'm sure most of you have also. Her body is top of the line. And no face goes from an 8.5 on camera to "not attractive" in person. The world doesn't work like that.
I went to nearly all the home games in 2010. I've never witnessed such a relative increase of passion for a team in a several game span. The first few games there were only a few dozen students. Midway through the season there were hundreds if not a thousand. It was cray
Irvin is going to be a straight beast in college. I can't get over the amount of great players we have coming in this year, next, and the year after. I will be shocked if we're not a top-5 powerhouse for the next decade
No offense but this is terrible logic. There is no reasonable argument to say signing 3/4 stars is better than signing 4/5 stars. Yeah maybe we had a log jam in the 90s, so what? At that point it comes down to the coaches and how they handle the situation, not the plethora of 5* gunslinging QBs we have on the sidelines

Or we could wear old school 1940 throwbacks from Harmon's era?
You are all missing the point.

Dyker Heights...
Under the LIghts
You must have extreme short-term memory issues

"Mods: If this is stupid delete it please."

Should change your title to "can be better" not "is better". And I agree with you. The ceiling is higher this year IMO
And where is this video of Pipkins you speak of? Please link
We're now entering the "Testosterone Era"
The Mariners may have infinity, but the Yankees have infinity + 1
Not saying the Mariners wont offer him a substantial contract, the Yankees will just offer more if they want him
"...desire to win in Seattle"
"If the Mariner's front office will match the deal the Yankees will throw at him"
Lol

Could be a coincidence, but the facts certainly line up. Something I'll definitely keep an eye on the rest of the season. Good catch
This has to be a joke. One of my favorite scenes in the show's history. Was a perfect way to top off Walt's transformation

He was constantly penetrating the Oline. The backs hardly ran towards him. Try re-watching with a non-hater mentality
Go Blue!
Why so racist?
If I could take that /s and shove it up your ass, I would

Moreso than getting this on campus, I don't want to lose to Penn State. At anything. Ever again. MOAR votes

Wise man you are
Perfect! Sounds like I earned your vote
Lol you guys! I thought my identity was obvious...
It's highly entertaining to watch this press conference while simultaneously reading the transcript.
I'm really disappointed that I won't be able to attend this game again

This kid has a good arm. If he gets moved to the mound hopefully he can be the next Jim Abbott

AP 1, Coaches 12
Isaac is expected to flip, I thought everyone knew this?
Don't you mean weekly BWC fluff?
Terrible idea. Our team needs to prepare. August is absolutely essential.

Coach Urbs and his shenanigans. Probably flipped a couple of poor souls
At this point, whether he commits or not, MGoBlog is going to explode
titties :)
