That's familiar territory for those of us who played in the era of anolog clocks, but not for the younger players. It has added some excitement, especially in the dramatic finish of Firouzja-Gukesh.
After move 40, each player gets an additional 30 minutes to finish the game. But they also get 30 seconds added after every move, so the games can run much longer than 5 hours.
A draw today will benefit Nakamura. He would control his own destiny tomorrow with white against Gukesh, Nepo will finish with black vs Caruana, a tough task. Nakamura would also be favored in tiebreaks which are contested at faster time controls.
I'm hearing that we have commits from the portal, but no one is announcing anything until they are officially admitted. That's a good policy for the program and the players.

I read an interview with Sherrone where he was asked which DBs impressed him this Spring. His answer was Berry and Hill.
And his position coach is the only holdover on the new staff. Seems like a move for more playing time. He's had very little so far for a 4* recruit.

We already have 5 coaches on offense and one on special teams. That only leaves room for 4 on defense, including Wink.

This isn't the ideal time for Hart to leave. Nearly all OC vacancies have been filled, although Bama has one again.
This isn't based on any intel, but I predict Denard would take over RBs if Hart did leave. He's going to be too good of a recruiter to pass up.
