I keep thinking about Atlanta drafting Penix. Like, why did Atlanta fork over all that $$$ to Cousins, knowing they don’t even want him after a couple years? And why Penix? Sure, he’s got a great arm but he’s made of eggshells. Four season-ending injuries in college. He could barely walk after he faced Michigan’s NFL-like defense. How will he survive a 17-game season against real NFL defenses?
I wish these pundits were held accountable for their predictions/grades. As I noted pre-draft about the JJ hype, Ryan Leaf went 2nd overall, Tom Brady in the 6th round.
I wish Harbaugh success. I do think Harbaugh still loves Michigan but has a job to do, hence him bringing along several of his staff. One thing I learned in 34 years of corporate America is to not burn bridges. Harbaugh success in the NFL may lead to continued benefits for Michigan as we maintain a relationship with him.
I grew up in Flint. My earliest Michigan memory was watching the 1974 UM-OSU game on TV, when I was nine. In 1975, my teacher took his 5th grade class to the UM-Missouri game, my first time at Michigan Stadium. I was hooked, especially with Flint native Rick Leach as the QB.
Later, I went to UM as a student and my youngest son is a student there now.
Many thanks to Jim Harbaugh. He brought the program out of the wilderness and restored it to its rightful place among the college football elite. I wish nothing but the best for him in the NFL.
If Harbaugh wanted to coach at Michigan, he’d coach at Michigan. Clearly he wanted to be back in the NFL and Michigan was his plan B. There’s nothing Warde, Ono, or other administrators could’ve done to change that.
Yes. I’ve been strongly into The Who for 40 years. I’m also too young to have seen them in their prime with Moon. I did see them in 1989 at the Pontiac Silverdome (still had Entwistle then), plus in 2008 and 2017 at other venues. Also, I’m a native of Flint which you probably know has a place in Who lore.

Congratulations young man! Thanks for all you did for the Wolverines!
Looks like JJ will be a Viking. Excited for him.
Regardless of where he’s drafted, we’ll know soon enough whether JJ will be a successful NFL quarterback.
Ryan Leaf: 1st round
Tom Brady: 6th round
In other words, these pundits don’t know jack.
Another one bites the dust. WTF is wrong with these guys?
If the coffin fits…you must acquit.
I’m most interested in Iowa (lots of Hawkeyes in my extended family).
I just wanted to say that pass was insane.
Any “Connor” linked to Michigan gives me nightmares.
Nice technical description by Johnson. My non-technical description is that Johnson put Egbuka on his ass.
A great young man. Love to see him taking a leadership role.
It appears Jim had an impressive snow globe collection. Obviously not needed in San Diego.
Juwan will be joining Jim Harbaugh’s staff in San Diego.
My son just texted me about this. He’s finishing his MSE in Space Systems at Michigan. He said he cried when the vehicle reached orbit.
Yes, beating Day this year will cement Michigan owning OSU. Not only will Day get fired, but OSU will realize no amount of $$$ will get it done.

Jake one more time!
Moody again!
Moody saved our bacon that day.
Jake!

I have two degrees from Michigan but had to look up this word. However, I studied engineering so words were optional.
I’m so thankful this was not Michigan screwing it up in the national championship game.
Cue the Lion King meme. What a Lions’ fuck-up.
Biggest choke job I’ve ever witnessed.
I was rooting for Harbaugh and the Ravens, but they really f&cked it up.
Congrats Sherrone and agree with the sentiment: let’s fucking go.
Michigan’s coach is two years older than my eldest son. I’m old.

Phenomenal. I loved seeing him meet his parents during the celebration.
I liked the 1997 Brian Griese cover. I bought that.
Very nice. Thanks.
AP farmed that work out to a high school shop class.
Yes. Back in the day, a guy could get a skin mag for like $3. This is considerably more.
Congrats MMB 82. I retired end of last summer. It’s been great so far.
Snow now falling in Michigan, which means more treadmill running, which means rewatching glorious moments of our national championship season.
Isn’t that what we did to the Huskies Monday night? Their anal glands have never been so pristine.
Best wishes to the young man. He has a national championship and presumably a UM degree, both fantastic.
That was great.
Pure joy!
I have OCD. You don’t want to know.
You serious? Michigan every time. Lions are nice, but absolutely no comparison.
Aren’t we facing the UChicago Maroons Monday night?
