That's what you hope for but the defense hasn't shown much to make me believe this. The front 4 hasn't gotten to the qb all year, which means we're going to have to blitz. I'm not against blitzing, but with our secondary we are bound to get burned on deep routes. I can easily see sd st putting up 30+ points. Hopefully we continue to force turnovers. This game going to be a shootout
lsu is overrated. they dont have a good offense. The only reason lsu beat oregon was because james and barner were injured for a portion of the game and the freshman made 2 big mistakes.
Borges said in the post game interview it was hoke's call. Hoke's comment was somthing like i dont feel safe about a lead until the clock is :00. Reguardless, it was a 20+ point lead I think gadner should have been in.
Im sick of hearing all this talk from the media and the duo that announced the game campaing for smith to be our every down back. Yes he had a good game, but it was against a bad defence and we've seen the last few years he doesnt have break away speed. That's not discrediting his shifty moves and superb blocking, i just think he should continue to be our 3rd down back which fits perfectly with his skill set.
We were going no where in 08, the next 2 years we have a chance to win the B10 title (depending on how well the defense plays). Thus we have to give our players the chance to best succeed, so if that means using denard more in the shotgun (which i think we should) so be it. You play to win the game
Nothing really new to add what has already been said, but he definetly has the size & physical attitude needed to excel at the next level. The tipping point will be the developement of his fundamentals (blocking, footwork, ball security, etc).
After watching the offensive plays, I honestly don't think we played that poorly. Yes there were brain farts in the red zone and plenty of dropped passes, but for every one of denard's interceptions the intended receiver was open. It's an execution problem (hesitation, poor throw, etc) which can be fixed. How different this game could have been if we scored tds on our first two possessions.

Hagerup will definitely be the punter. As for the kicker, I was really impressed with Justin Meram's performance at the spring game. He is a captain and the leading goal scorer on the soccer team. I wouldn't be surprised if he won the starting job.
Some of you might hate this song but i really like it. I can't think of any football team that has it - Chelsea Dagger by Fratellis. If not i think a upbeat techno song would be awesome.
love the possible of playing georgia for the opening of the new stadium but with their non conference schedule i dont think it will happen. does anyone know how difficult is to change a schedule?
I definitely think rr prefers option 2 but at the same time if one of them is having a great game, he will be the feature back. However, I disagree with your assessment that the freshman qb's wont throw the ball. Bringing a guy on slowly doesn't necessarily mean running more. from what I saw in the spring game, we are going to be throwing much more than last year since we finally have a real qb.
i don't understand why so many of you are disappointed in rr for losing the battle of instate recruiting to msu. frankly, i don't care were our players come from. as long as we are recruiting the top players, who cares if they're in state or out of state. as long as we set up pipelines with those schools, a la pahokee fl, trotwood oh, cass tech mi, we will have better recruiting classes. that's what we should be striving for.
i thought the same thing at first and decided to look up the number of games he payed the last few years:
gs mpg
05-06 79 36.8
06-07 82 38.1
07-08 76 38.9
08-09 80 36.8
there's no question he's injury prone with his past injuries and age, but in that last 4 years he's been able to stay on the court.

thank you for doing this!
To be fair, the BCS has gotten the top 2 teams in the national championship every year. They really never fucked anything up as far as I can recall.
I agree with your thoughts

those announcers sucked. i wish herbstreit called every game.

I would also like to see an up/down vote button on comments, something similar to reddit

The most underratted deli in ann arbor has to be Del Bellos. The sandwichs are huge and very cheap for what you get.
The recivers had to block all the time last year
When recruit Noah Spence says, "The school has to include my parents" what does that mean?
Any ideas?
completly agree with your thinking.
Wow, he's a big boy with agility!
:)
Hoke wants to bring competition at every position, seems like the same stuff RR preached for three years.
well said. completly agree

The Dr Philips video from the Orlando Sentenial wasn't loading for me. For others who had the same problem here's the link.
