B. Graham: "I want to be feared..."

Submitted by MGoShoe on
In advance of his pro day, Brandon Graham conducted a little Q&A with The Sporting News' Vinnie Iyer. As always, BG comes across as serious, smart, motivated, and a team player. In short: NFL-ready. I give him an A+ in today's Advanced Media Relations exercise. Sample Q&A:
VI: What NFL player did you idolize growing up? BG: It wasn't a defensive end but a linebacker — Ray Lewis. I would like to be just like him on the football field. I want to be feared, where I put pressure on the linemen and make them a little intimidated to block me. ::: VI: When finished playing football, what do you hope others say about your career? BG: That coaches and players could trust and believe in me, that I was playing for everybody else. I want to be known as the ultimate team player, that no matter how many plays I was making, that I always did what I could to help us win the game.

BG embodies what it means to be a Michigan man. This guy is all about the team and he has a motor that won't quit. A lot of teams are probably going to pass on BG and I have a feeling those teams will be very sorry they did so.

when his career in the NFL is wrapped up. Just seems like he has knowledge of how to overcome being a smaller stature player and his team mentality would be great for a D-line coach.

Wish we had one more year with him. Because it took him a couple years to develop it felt like he was only @ UM for such a short while. Best of luck to him wherever he goes, and unless its the raiders I will def grab a BG jersey!
