We hang our hat on being the best combination of academics and athletics and Stanford is the only school that can claim superiority. Don't fucking point out the foul differential. Louisville just keeps fouling and knows the refs won't take their players out of the game in the end. Someone convince me Mitch's fourth foul and UL's 11 not getting his fourth didn't profoundly affect the game.

He is truly a genuine, caring mentor for all his players. I get now why he's not in on the recruitment of many one-and-done types. He wants kids that want to be at Michigan as opposed to those that are just looking for a pit stop. He expects them to be student-athletes by demanding they go to class and study on top of their busy basketball schedule.   We are truly lucky to have this man leading our basketball program.

They won't be able to compete with UF, FSU, and Miami in the long run. They don't have the resources and alumni/booster base to do so. This hire makes total sense for USC/Haden. Haden is a cerebral guy so it figures he'd be enamored with a Hopkins man. Also, Enfield has shown the ability to take a fledgling, moribund program and turn it into a winner in a short time. Time will tell whether or not he can do it against the big boys.

11 weeks 4 days ago	Call me a cynic, but it's	Call me a cynic, but it's easy to make this move when the football team's at the top of the mountain and their recruiting machine is bringing in top recruits on an annual basis. Also, was this Nick's doing or the University's? UA couldn't take the PR hit that would've accompanied keeping these guys on, especially if they only kept the guys most likely to contribute on the playing field. They don't want to actually confirm to the world that they have a win-at-all-costs mentality.

Maryland, by leaving th ACC, has really opened up the possibility of UVA, GT, and UNC leaving as well. That would kill the academic cache of the conference. Duke's fortune is tied to UNC. They will fade (even the basketball) into irrelevance if they're separated.

He deserves a lot of credit for churning out more and more players that are garnering national attention. It will only benefit Michigan if these guys start to meet or exceed expectations.

Anyway, why was Mitch in the paint and not defending the inbounder? At bare minimum, he should've been helping on one of their best shooters. As I haven't been able to watch the games, I want to know how Craft fouled out against IU and had no problems against us, even in AA. Was it the officiating or was it something schematic IU did. Surely Burke has to be more difficult to defend than any IU guard.

Endo forging is probably considered the best and I wouldn't be surprised if Nike gets Rory's irons from them. This is why the notion that "Nike clubs suck" doesn't hold water here. Most of the top blade irons are coming from these Japanes foundries. There's only so much technology that can go into exactly where to distribute a limited amount of mass on the back of an iron. The most important factors are shaft and grind. I'm sure he will keep the same shafts and sole grinds.
