CC '91 here. The uniforms were not my idea, but we were pretty good.
|4 years 16 weeks ago||Please||
I don't want to be that guy, and gloat, but pretty, pretty please, when you receive these resumes from Snyder, Rosenberg, Sharp, et al in 5 years, can you be certain to interview them?
And can I please be there to watch? That's all I want.
|4 years 20 weeks ago||HEY||
Don't jinx it. Go outside, turn around 3 times, spit, so you don't encounter the wrath of the thing from on high. NOW!
|4 years 20 weeks ago||If for no other reason than||
If for no other reason than State probably won't ask Demens to play in space as much as one of the spread teams, right?
|4 years 20 weeks ago||Red Bull + Head Injury= Optimism for Saturday||
After reading this, I went back and re-read the UFR against UMass. Perhaps it's the closed head injury talking, but there is reason for optimism vs. State.
1) Herron back, Roh more with his hand on the ground. Minimizes Roh-no in LB, maximizes Roh-yes as DE.
2) Mike Martin.
3) State isn't a spread team- they are more aggressive than usual, but still, a traditional attack.

You say you're not a journalist? You had me from the lede.

Regardless of how this season ends, I will never, ever, ever, ever again wish that the Hat was coach at U-M. He crazy!
|4 years 20 weeks ago||Just turn this in to the bowl committee right now||
And let me get an early start on travel plans.
Excellent work, for sure.

I am everywhere.

Never assume malice or conspiracy is behind that which can be explained by incompetence.

I couldn't care less about what ANYONE believes. Faith is a private thing.

The tag: "Taylor Lewan is the Continental". +1.
|4 years 21 weeks ago||I thought DG looked more like||
I thought DG looked more like last year's Denard- trying to use innate athletic gifts, instead of following the play as it developed. But, essentially, yes.
|4 years 21 weeks ago||Gardner||
I thought his passing, particularly the long ball, was the most impressive of the three. (CATCH IT IF IT HITS YOUR HANDS, DAMMIT!)
But, his running was clearly behind Forcier- he appeared to still be used to being better than everyone on the field, and he wasn't making the good decisions on the read. It is impressive how much faster Robinson is than the other two, though.
|4 years 21 weeks ago||The problem with this article||
The problem with this article is they failed to ask an important question: what kind of dogs did Martin handle? I choose to believe it was Lhasa Apsos, for comedic effect, and I refuse to consider any evidence to the contrary.

Perhaps if we were a bowl of petunias, we'd have a better shot.
|4 years 22 weeks ago||Not totally suicidal yet||
But I am shopping for knives.
Seriously, on a positive note- the offense didn't quit, ever. This is a young, terribly wafer thin team on defense, that just beat a rival on the road. And, we didn't lose this one. You and I both know there are recent U-M teams that would have, under Carr as well.
Are we remotely average on defense? Probably not. Are we as bad as we were on Saturday? Also, probably not.
Punting is not winning. Always go for it. Also, field goals? Not our thing.

Spelling isn't your strong suit, is it?
Also, it's MICHIGAN. Arrogant? Damn right. Why? If you graduate, you have EARNED your arrogance.

Well, His hands were above shoulder pad level...
|4 years 23 weeks ago||Mike Martin||
I kept thinking while watching the game that Mike Martin was everywhere. Nice to see my assumptions were confirmed- he was really all over the place, wreaking havok.
Also, the officiating was abysmal. The holds? Jesus.
|4 years 24 weeks ago||Infuriated||
I am in Section 33, row 1. I am damn near as front as front can be. I've had these seats for 12 years.
I am so sick of the "stand up police". Trust me, you are not making more noise than me, and you know what else? I'm watching the game. I'm not Mr. Stand up, who is more concerned with whether or not I'm standing than with what's actually going on on the field. Do I stand up on certain plays? Yes. Am I making noise while we're on offense? NO, because I am not an idiot, unlike Mr. Stand Up. I enjoyed his ass getting thrown out in the 2nd quarter, I did.
Watch the game. Make LOTS of noise. Don't be the stand up police.

You know, I love beer, in many varieties, and I want to support local business, but I just can't get into what JP is doing with their beer. I like about 3 oz of each beer, and then I'm over the taste. To each his own, I suppose. It's too early for a beer now, right?

Exactly right. Permanent captains tend to take ownership of the team, or ought to.
|4 years 28 weeks ago||Captains||
I know it's a small thing, but I'm glad RR relented on the permanent captains thing, at least in part. That always rubbed me the wrong way, for reasons I can't really articulate.
Also, I'll take Rosenberg in the pool.
