Thing is, Wisconsin knows that just as much as we do, and they might have timing on their side. If they've got a few candidates that a relatively even in their eyes, they might give an offer with a deadline attached that might be problematic give our (Harbaugh) timeline. Not that this would work, and I'm sure they wouldn't do this to a candidate high on our board. But if you were the OC at Ohio State and Wisconsin gave you an exploding offer while U of M said "wait til we hear from Harbaugh in January" you'd certainly have to think about it.

I don't really agree with this. I liked Brandon's statement (I'm not a Brandon supporter in general by any means). What would you have him say? He said a lot of the things that people were complaining Hoke didn't say in his press conference as far as changes being implemented and what exactly happened.... I don't know, this still feels like people are mad that the football isn't good so we have to be mad at something.

In the last game I remember walking away from the TV after we turned the ball over, only to run back in as my friend excitedly shouted that we were kicking for the win! I'm looking forward to playing them again.
Before you scold me for walking away, I'll note that I was about 8 and didn't really know what was going on.

I like Man United because they were the team I could watch on TV / highlights as a kid, and I never looked back from there. I play a lot but don't watch regularly although I enjoy it. I think I might be an interesting case for watching though - I think watching hockey and soccer in person is 1000x better than watching on TV and I'd much prefer watching football at home or the bar than at the big house. Weird!

My favorite part of these threads is so many people are posbanging so hard that when you click the up arrow on a post near the bottom of thread it goes up like 10 points cuz so many people have hit it since you loaded the page.

In all honesty, I'd like for you to stay and to make valuable contributions. But, I think maybe take a week off from posting and just lurk, and get used to how the site works (e.g. most one-word comments that say "Lol" are bad). You have plenty of time to reach 100 points before May if that is your goal, no need for so many comments to artificially raise your score. I mean, I've made like 10 comments in the last year but I still read everyday, so it is still possible to participate and have fun with less commenting.I, for one, was legitimately surprised that you had an actual positive goal in mind for reaching 100 points. From your posting habits it seemed like maybe you were trying to get 100 points so you could troll. I don't want to discourage anyone from participating here. I want to stress how important getting to know the lay of the land is before jumping into posting for many people.
I also might recommend having a running diary rather than a new post each day if you do your countdowns as well, so it is all in one place and only shows up once. For what it is worth, I think your picture that you uploaded is actually pretty cool, and your idea could certainly be interesting over the summer if it is well done. I also think you can make it well done if you hang around and understand the personalities here.
|3 years 12 weeks ago||No.||
For you, the answer is there is no way to upload a photo from a URL on here.
I choose to believe you are some advanced bot made to make comments that are somewhat in context, and someone is using mgoblog as a test site.

Could we include the number of times the player has been tagged in a post, as an additional (though incredibly flawed) interesting metric to gauge how much of an impact they had on the blog?
Also, it looks to me like a puck is going by Hunwick's head in that picture.

Check out the PowerPrep software available directly from the GRE website. They offer a practice test or two, using real test questions. No, really, at least a couple of the questions on that test were on my actual GRE. It is also valuable to get a feel for how the questions change as you go along in the test, as the next question is influenced by your performance on the previous one. It can be easy to psyche yourself out when you see an easy question pop up, and this helped me get used to that and not think about it too much. The computer program is the exact same as the one on the real test, so you will be familiar with it. Also, they have a list, somewhere on that site, of every essay question that they have that they could ask. It is pretty long, but will give you an idea of how the questions are shaped in general.
One of my essays on the test was to critique an argument made in a made up essay. The argument was basically that in 1910 there were 8 species of some rodent in Yellowstone park, and now in 1995 there are only 3 species of that rodent, so therefore environmental pollution is contributing greatly to global warming. I'm pretty sure I could have written forever about that one.

I believe the NCAA has a minimum, the Big Ten has a minimum, and Michigan has a minimum, each higher than the previous. If a player is above the NCAA and Big Ten minimum, but below the school minimum, they go in front of a board of professors/administrators to plea their case to be eligible to play. This was what the controversy a few years ago was about, because the members of this board are given all expenses-paid trips to these bowl games, which they might not get if they didnt allow certain players to play causing the team to lose more games. So it could be a conflict of interest...i guess

I'm not sure about hiding point totals. It makes sense for voting, but sometimes when I am in a hurry or a thread has a lot of stupid/repetitive posts I'll scroll through and only read the higher point total posts.
