Michigan has games roughly every Saturday from September to November. The Tigers, in a good year, will have games every day from April to the end of October.
Realistically, the voice of Michigan football would have to either miss a large chunk of the middle of the season if he's focused on the Tigers, or the voice of the Tigers would be taking weekends off for a new gig.
Either way, it's not doable.

George Kell and Al Kaline broadcasting Tigers games on TV. Two legends from that team, handling the entire broadcast.

First, of all the possible former college basketball players to pick, Burger King and the NCAA picked Chris Webber? A guy who has no relationship with his school, a guy who isn't wearing a team jersey for whatever reason, a guy who technically did not happen in NCAA history? Really?
Second, if you're Chris Webber, and you got publicly mad at Jalen Rose and the Fab Five guys for wanting you to watch Michigan in the Final Four with them...in your own city...on a night where the world knows you're not anywhere else...why would you sign up for some NCAA promotion at the Final Four? Isn't Chris just begging for a sequel to Come On Chris, Man Up And Sit With Your Teammates? Right?

Wait for one of those things, and you should be fine.

If Indiana beats Iowa tonight, that eliminates the Hawkeyes from ever catching us.
That would leave only State and Wisconsin as other potential Big Ten champions.

Tonight's win and Nebraska's loss means that Nebraska cannot catch Michigan in the Big Ten standings.
Michigan is guaranteed to finish in the Big Ten's top five at the moment. If Indiana beats Iowa or Penn State beats Ohio State tomorrow, Michigan clinches a top-four spot and a bye in the tournament. If both upsets take place, Michigan clinches a top-three finish.

I can't believe I'd end up feeling sorry for Richie Incognito after reading those texts.
Richie's just looking for a friend to do terrible things with, thought he had a buddy, and his friend reported him.
What a weird, weird story.

What? Seriously? Scott Steiner was the more sane of the two?

I went to the GLI today, rooting for Michigan and Michigan Tech (dad's an alum). Not only did I see no scoring by either team I was rooting for, but we just decided to drive home and pass on watching Michigan/Kansas State downtown.
Turns out, we missed indirectly seeing a UFC fighter horrifically break his leg, in a bar's HD display.
That was a good call to just go home, and it was the best playcall of the night.

In the 1980's and prior, sit-down pizza restaurants were huge, and that was (and still is) Pizza Hut's main business. Those red-roofed buildings are all for dining in. Little Caesars had a similar concept with family fun centers in the 1980's and 1990's.
By taking pizza out of the restaurant, Domino's was able to sell a lot of pizza without a lot of unnecessary overhead costs.

- College football championship games that will cause existential pain through flashbacks to this season, causing me to make tea and hope for snow.
|19 weeks 6 days ago||The new barriers will be||
The new barriers will be football-only, I'd assume. The conference divisions will create rough "conferences" for football within your own division, with the larger conference umbrella there for other sports and finances.
Redoing all of this stuff really isn't as big of a job as you might think. The NCAA, when you get down to it, really doesn't do all that much.
Rulebooks and compliance documents largely stay the same, except for those big changes people are hoping for and stripping out the fluff.
National championship tournaments are easy to run, with current procedures for booking facilities, referees, et cetera. If Michigan/MSU can book neutral site games at the Joe, and the Big Ten can book the Xcel Energy Center for a conference tournament, College Super Conference can do the same thing.
Scheduling is already done on a conference and school basis anyway.
Television rights and large contracts are done on a conference basis, and any NCAA-controlled contracts can simply be negotiated or renegotiated with the conference broadcasting partners.
It could be done in a summer if people solely focused on it.
|19 weeks 6 days ago||This is what the conference||
This is what the conference championships will try to fix. Sure, you lost your playoff game, but you're the Big Ten champion! Or, Big Ten division champion!
|19 weeks 6 days ago||Money.||
The centralizing influence is always money. If conferences/schools can make more money by breaking off than they can in the NCAA's system, they will break off as soon as they can.
|19 weeks 6 days ago||Essentially, yes.||
What was traditionally your conference is now your division. Winning your division puts you in an effective bowl game against the other conference division winner, with that champion advancing.
Unfortunately, this makes the Big Ten East into its own separate conference, relegating four traditional Big Ten powers with three (or more) outsiders.
|19 weeks 6 days ago||The future!||
The future of college football will be four mega-conferences, with the conference champions as the four playoff teams. Conference championship games will essentially be play-in games of their own.
I've heard this scenario kicked around for years. A big shakeup is coming to college sports, beyond simply the four-team playoff.
If this came to pass, I think the conference championship games will become a much bigger deal. Winning your division and playing in these games will be a benchmark of success, with records in the playoff stratifying those successful teams even further.
|19 weeks 6 days ago||Generally a lurker, but...||
There's been a lot of things going on with Michigan Athletics to cause angst this year, outside of the regular drama of trolling morons. Between the Akron game and the span of time from the Penn State game to present, various recruiting stories, the discontent over the AD's office, not to mention how the hockey and basketball seasons ended...there have been a lot of things to overreact to.
Having downvoting go away during what was unfortunately an incredibly volatile football season led to a lot of conflict. While the right steps will be taken to correct that, winning might help solve everything.
Seriously, I can't think of a more chaotic and draining season. Even the Rich Rod years were sustained, calloused pain. This was something newly frustrating every week, and it showed on here.
