As Sam Webb always says, you never know what will happen if you get a recruit on campus. However, I do agree that no one should be holding their breath.
As you mentioned, you have to love his confidence. In addition, you have to love his emphasis on physical, and the mention or the 2011 recruiting class as a whole and their emphasis on physical play.
I really think Hoke is making a great effort to bring in tough, physical kids as opposed to Rodriguez's emphasis on speed and quickness.
Williams has stated in the past that he is keeping an eye on UM, and how they do this season. With our success this year, I think he will end up taking a visit.
If I recall correctly, I believe that Dee has said he almost committed to Michigan several times in the past. Why should we look at his comments about Auburn any differently. The kid is 18 and probably just enjoying the process. I have no idea where he will end up, but I think we quickly forget that he has done this before.
Couldn't agree more with Jerald Robinson. His speed will get him on the field.
My choice for defense is Courtney Avery. With our depth at corner, it is very likely a freshmen will play, and from what I hear Avery has been looking good thus far in summer workouts.
I think we should be looking at players who would not be starters for USC in their remaining year or two at USC, but could likely get some playing time at UM. I figure if you are currently a starter at SC, no reason to transfer, but if you are 2nd team or worse, why wouldn't you transfer.
Seems like he has several quality offers, especially being this early in the recruiting cycle. I especially like the offers from Duke and Stanford (for academic reasons).
How can you be a student or an athlete when you are getting in trouble. I understand a coach cannot control everything their players do, but its odd that UM is getting punished for having too much control in some sense, while MSU sees no punishment for their very obvious lack of control.
In my opinion players should be weighted on how much they contribute and how many years they have been in school. A senior 5-star recruit should be expected to produce much more than a freshmen 5-star.
I also would not use class rankings for your analysis. They do not take injuries, transfers or non-qualifiers in to account. They also count players twice who went to prep school (Slocum in counted in '05 and '06).
I'm sure there are many more issues such as these that will arise, but these are two things I have always noticed.
"I've been talking to schools just in case something like this happened because you never know what is going to happen. I've been staying in contact with LSU, Cincinnati, Louisville, Florida, Miami and West Virginia," Boone said. "All I can do is take this in, get home or talk to my parents, get their reaction and go from there. The only thing I can do is sit back, talk to the Tech coaches and talk to my parents."

From my understanding, we are little late with our offer, but just recently Shaw initiated the contact with the staff. He got phone numbers from Brennan Clay, who apparently had very good things to say about UM.

Scout is always slow to update. (This is a hint)

I'm sure he could be better than Armpunt Pryor.

We bout to pick up some more commits. :)
Feel free to repost this in its own thread if you want.
Chad Simmons had a few comments/tweets about Frosts performance at the Shrine Bowl:
-Kris Frost flew in off the edge and made contact with the RB 3 yds deep in the backfield.
-Kris Frost and Stephone Anthony are two of the top LBs in the south. http://plixi.com/p/62928751
-Kris Frost is telling his teammates to pick the intensity. What a leader.
Seems like a type of kid Michigan could use regardless of position. Though its nice to see him playing defense here.

On this depth chart (updated by Rivals on 9/13) Lewan is not listed at RT at all, and is 2nd string behind Huyge.
Also, Vlad is not on here at all, neither is Lalota
Tate and Devin are both listed as 2nd string (Devin or Tate)

"It seems like every day, every other day, he seems to show up, putting his hands on the ball somewhere," coach Tom Cable said.

I have been hearing good things. He may have been underrated coming out of high school because he played QB.
