MI WR Ricardo Miller
Last week: Pioneer scrapes by Huron 23-19.
Sorise began moving the Pioneers down the field. And after connecting with Miller once once previously in the night, Sorise found a wide-open Miller for a 39-yard reception down to the Huron 5-yard line.
"That was the changing moment in the game," Sorise said. "(Miller) told me if he beat the (defensive back), just to throw it up, throw it deep."
Miller, playing in his first Pioneer-Huron clash, did the rest.
"I told Miles I would go out and get it," Miller said. "I went out and made a play."
Miller's catch left Pioneer only 5 yards from the go-ahead touchdown.

Does anybody else realize that 66% of the time Ricardo Miller catches the ball, the play ends in a TD? Those are pretty good stats.
did I read that right that Jeremy Jackson THREW a TD pass? Weird. Weather in AA was terrible friday night
I think it's just poorly written, and Jackson received the TD pass.
The weather was worse in the late afternoon, which is when the Huron/Pioneer game was played (due to a concern about post-game problems with the crowd, I'm told); it was kind of cold in the evening, but the rain stopped around halftime of the Chelsea game (somewhere around 8:00).

to the huron/pioneer game? would love to hear some thoughts on how it was
No, I spend my Fridays following Chelsea football, so I was in Dexter. I was just getting updates on the game from the Chelsea A.D.

There seem to be 2 different weeks described for each Talbott brother. Or did one of them miss a week? I'm a little confused.

Stevenson will be facing Canton High School at the Plymouth Canton Educational Park on Friday Night at 7 PM in the KLAA Kensington Conference Championship game.

Sorry if this has been covered, but what the hell crazy division is Inkster in? They play Muskegon CC, East Kentwood, Bay City and Pioneer? Those have to be like 3 hour drives from Detroit.
"Why would you ask a dumb question like that?" -Lloyd Carr
that's why their schedule is all jacked up
Not only is Inkster an independent, for some reason (presumably field renovations? anyone know why?) they're playing 8 away games and zero home games this year.
I don't know if they're renovating their stadium, but I know they need to. When Chelsea met Inkster in the playoffs last year, it was a home game for Inkster; however, they didn't think their stadium could handle the game -- Chelsea fans were being warned to bring lawn chairs -- so they moved it to Romulus.

Whoops, forgot to copy/paste on the second Talbott brother. I've fixed it now.
Is anybody from mgoblog going to be at the Chelsea/Pioneer game in Chelsea Friday night? It should be a great game -- Chelsea and Pioneer are the two best teams in the area.

Am I looking at this wrong, or is Austin White's TD total incorrect? It looks like his most recent 5 TD's are not included in the total.
Sheeeeeeeit
Tim, on the annarbor.com website they include more in depth stats for many of the high school games. For example, Jeremy Jackson had something like 5 catches for over 100 yards or something like that, the exact stats are up. You probably already know this but Jackson's numbers aren't listed so I thought I would mention that just in case.
And now for my crazy based-on-way-too-little-evidence theory, I personally think Jackson is better than Miller. I have seen Jackson play in person, but not Miller. Still, when watching their highlights, I think Jackson is much more fluid of an athlete, and has at least an inch on Miller. Speed looks pretty similar, and Jackson looks stronger now than he use to.
Could be entirely wrong of course, but just my inconsequential prediction.
FWIW, there is apparently a compilation of the commit stats to date on gobluewolverine.com

I'll save you the suspense: It's basically the same as what you see here, but formatted by retards, and not nearly as comprehensive. You'd think it would be tough to be that much less comprehensive when half of what they have is plagiarized from here, and half supposedly comes from the recruits, but whatever.

Gardner and Inkster go up against the No. 1 team in Cleveland this week in St. Ignatius (7-0). Should be interesting.
