Chicago is between the two campuses. But that would make too much sense. (Though Wisco may not be interested in playing there again, as they played Minnesota in Soldier Field last year...I went to it, and it was a pretty miserably dull experience)

Really cool to see them side by side in the same drill. Mirrored each other almost perfectly, but Taylor had the more fluid hips. Really excited to watch the secondary battles shake out this year

and this isn't going over well. But to the people who care enough to have actually followed this team through qualifying and who watch international soccer on the regular, this is not a big deal, but an honest assessment made at the time.
Unfortunately, honest opinions are not what fair weather fans like to hear, so this will not go away as quickly as it should. All this being said, if anyone thinks that Klinsmann is giving anything less than his full effort with this team, they know nothing of his career or his style.
I don't think the US will win this World Cup either, but that doesn't mean I will not watch every game shouting at my tv with my heart in my chest. In the immortal words of Ian Darke, "Go! Go! USA!"

Cool to have this look at things from a Michigan perspective, but did you do this with any other teams? It would be interesting to me to see where other B1G teams fall with this look, some potential favorites for this coming year out of the usual suspects, and potential surprise teams to be on the lookout with this methodology.

My landlord happens to be a "BK Buckeye"...Toledo grad who loves OSU. We give each other shit about games, but he could care less whether I went to Michigan or not, just that I am a somewhat knowledgable fan who can talk smack and won't get offended when he does the same. While some buckeyes may use the term, I find that this really is a MSU based phenomenon

The distinction between student and employee that was erased here was erased by the Chicago section of the NLRB. That, while perhaps persuasive for purposes of IRS decision making (though given the reasons outlined in the piece as written by BiSB, I would think the IRS probably wouldn't be persuaded), does not create a distinction that the IRS needs to follow.

For the low (ha!) price of $50, the AD would print a shirt with your twitter handle, foam hand 3 goggles, and an upper bowl ticket for the game. They called it a tweet up. Retweeted folk in the stands using a specific hash tag. Should just be a one time event

I was thinking that Countess' somewhat slow reaction to the throw was strange considering his position. That zone being the responsibility of Gordon makes that make sense.

The comment from Wikipedia was meant to be a reply, but I flubbed that one up. Anyway, it doesn't answer the genesis of the announcement the way you might have hoped, but I don't think it's really a joke...more of a random decision to cheer for a particular Division II school.
|43 weeks 1 day ago||Per Wikipedia:||
"The announcement of Slippery Rock's football scores is a tradition at University of Michigan Football games, begun in 1959 by Michigan Stadium's public address announcer Steve Filipiak. Slippery Rock was so popular with U of M fans that on Sept. 29, 1979, they played in-state rival Shippensburg at Michigan Stadium, in front of 61,143 fans, a record for a Division II football game (Shippensburg won, 45-14). Slippery Rock played a second game at "The Big House" in 1981, attracting 36,719 fans in a 14-13 loss to Wayne State University. Slippery Rock will make a third trip to the "Big House" on October, 14, 2014, when they will take on Mercyhurst University in a PSAC game."

But seeing that so many use the comments here to ask about tix, I will post here as well. I am currently looking for 3 tix to the IU game, which puts me in the same boat as His Dudeness. Since His Dudeness is a more senior member of the blog, I'll request that the second person with 3 available for IU reply to this post wth info. Thanks!
