Any CEO is taught to have a succession plan. Considering that he has been very successful as a CEO and always leaves corporations better than he received them, I don't think it's pure coincidence that Hackett was already working in the AD and he managed to get Harbaugh the first day of availability.
Hackett was already working in the AD before Brandon was fired. Other than giving a speech when Brandon was fired, Schlissel has done absolutely nothing in this situation.

Although living in Mountain timezone generally sucks, it's the best timezone for viewing live sports. CFB at 10AM on Saturdays, NFL at 11AM. Sunday Night Football ends at about 9, so there's still time to catch a late dinner.

Other than Mattison, I'm thinking that Borges may have been one of the only competent coaches over the last few years. He got an unfair shake, and never really had a chance to start one of his guys at QB.

Honestly where would be worse? You're still 3 hours from Denver, so it's not like you're visiting there more than a couple times per year. You're a solid 8 hours from Salt Lake City, which isn't that great of a place to begin with. Even if you lived there, how many times are you honestly going skiing per year? Maybe 7?

Nope, not at all. Mariotta is a typical Oregon QB who gets drafted and fizzles out pretty quickly. I'm not saying Winston will be a star or pro bowler, but I think he'll have a decent NFL career.
I actually think Winston will end up being a good pro. He reminds me a lot of Dante Culpepper.

I've been to PB a couple times in the last few years, and there were almost no bums. Definitely a great place, and if I move to SD it's definitely the place I'd go.
That being said, in January it's not usually all that pleasant there. A cool 65-70 degrees is not exactly beach weather.
