a friend of mine's lil sis went to NU and was there for that speech. I got to watch their home video of the graduation, and he killed. Funny as all hell, thanks for linking to the transcript! |

surprised the mods haven't locked this one up yet. maybe they're sleeping after the red wings late game last night? |
| 2 weeks 2 days ago | same character |
agreed, but even more cunning and ruthless, but also more nudity from Ms. Dormer in the Tudors than GoT. The Tudors was a good show, but she's not in all four seasons of it unfortunately, but that's what happens when a show is based on history, and we (should) all know what happened to Henry VIII's wives. |
| 2 weeks 2 days ago | that scene |
last night between Tywin & Olenna was hilarious. "A sword-swallower through and through." Priceless. I'm torn on the changes between the book and the show. Some of them I really like, some of them I really don't get why they bothered. For example, changing who Robb married was a rather oddball choice IMHO. On the other hand, it's cool when a new character brings something to the series, like Ros. |

always an easy ticket to get, and there are so many UM fans there we take over the stadium. Evanston is a gorgeous town, and just south is Chicago so there's plenty to do to make it into a full weekend visit. We go every time UM comes to town as we live in the Chicago burbs. |

I plan on watching a bunch of backlogged stuff on my DVR, and catching a movie or two on DVD. Not sure which ones yet. Have a great weekend all! |

that your drinking from several lives ago is affecting you still if you put this in a predictions thread. |
| 7 weeks 7 hours ago | The Pres knew |
According to what I read on SI.com on this, the AD ran the punishment and incident by the Pres, who signed off on the suspension. So that's why there are some calling for the university president's head too, because they knew of the situation and thought that just a suspension would be okay. |

Michigan wins by 13, 89-76. |
| 9 weeks 8 hours ago | Great column |
This was a very enjoyable read. Thank you Ace! I think sitting in the press box on your hands so as not to cheer has to be probably the hardest thing possible to do. I am going to majorly miss Trey next year. Is there any possibility that he'll pull a Lewan and return for 1 more year as "unfinished business" if we don't go far in the dance? Also, I love the expression on your brother's face, he doesn't look too happy to be at that game. |

outstanding news and a great start to the weekend. So glad I can stop worrying about him retiring for now. |
| 10 weeks 7 hours ago | When is the final vote? |
Is it next week after the conference tourneys are over? Or do they wait until after March Madness is over? In either case, an early tourney exit for Michigan will not help Trey so I hope that doesn't happen. |
| 10 weeks 8 hours ago | 79-70 |
Michigan wins 79-70. I had forgotten that I guessed 73-72 for the IU game. Curse you rim for not giving me a free shirt when you caused the ball to roll off the wrong way! |

to go until the game. Combination of nervous and excited. Looking forward to it so much though. Not gonna watch the other games leading up to ours though, I've got grad school studying to do for midterms. |
| 10 weeks 4 days ago | four of my fave action flicks |
these are the more "under the radar" variety, but they are all awesome. Brotherhood of the Wolf, Hard Boiled, The Killer, & The Raid: Redemption. Need a good action flick? Can't go wrong with any of those. |
| 10 weeks 5 days ago | tiebreakers |
Indiana, winning out, would have only 4 B1G losses, so they're #1. OSU winning out would be tied with MSU winning out (because UW and UM would fall back to tied for 3rd in conference if Indy wins and Wisc wins sunday) On the season, OSU and MSU split 1-1. So they move on to tiebreaker 2: record vs the highest ranked team (IU). OSU went 1-1 vs Indy, while MSU went 0-2. Thus, OSU would be the 2 seed, MSU the three, in that scenario. link to tiebreakers rules: http://www.bigten.org/sports/m-baskbl/spec-rel/111011aae.html |
| 10 weeks 5 days ago | Awesome! |
I love it, it's just hard to tell what it is because the hat is too big. It'll remain my avatar until football season gets here again as per the deal. Thanks! |
| 10 weeks 5 days ago | I too am avatarless |
but I'm supposed to be getting one as per the post announcing the new mod. I told him that he could give me a pony avatar in exchange for the points prize. Got the prize, but I'm still waiting for that avatar... Have an awesome weekend everyone! |
| 10 weeks 5 days ago | it'd be so nice |
if we could do this comic's idea for real. grow a bunch of them and dominate the football world. |
| 10 weeks 6 days ago | I was just about to post that |
So the runoff is 10 seconds for an injury if it occurs in the final minute of a half. Question - does this only apply to the team with possession of the ball? Hypothetical situation: Imagine we can have a redo of the MSU game from a decade ago. One of Michigan's players gets hurt with less than 10 seconds to go, causing the runoff. Michigan wins the game because the Sparties are never allowed to stop the clock with a phantom second on the scoreboard. Now, instead of UM fans crying foul over a bogus stadium clock, Sparties cry foul over a dumb rule, especially if the UM player's injuries aren't severe. This rule just seems like it has the potential for abuse if the runoff still applies if a D player gets hurt, if the D team has the lead. I can totally see teams having a player take a dive to try and burn the clock off. Or even more than one player, since the runoff takes place with a minute to go in the half, they can have a player get "hurt" on every subsequent play until the clock is at 0. Am I the only one that sees this potential for shenanigans? |

That was a thorough fisking there. If I was at 200 points and could upvote you I would. |
| 11 weeks 8 hours ago | M wins both |
UM 79 Purdue 68 UM 73 IU 72 |
| 11 weeks 9 hours ago | UM 73 Purdon't 64 |
Purdue will come out hard to play the spoiler, but Michigan will not lose focus on the prize and pick up the win, setting up the conference title showdown Sunday. |
| 11 weeks 20 hours ago | thanks! |
it apparently only is a problem in my work web browser, at home its fine. |
| 11 weeks 20 hours ago | I loved this topic |
yes it's OT but thats what the OT flag is for. Great share! And for the record out of all the threads on the board, this is the one I came to first this evening, so some of us here do like this sort of thing. if you don't like it, don't click it. |
| 11 weeks 1 day ago | chart spillover |
I'm having a hard time reading the last column of the 3rd chart due to it spilling out of the frame for some reason. What were the averages for UM, OSU, and Purdue in that final column? |
| 11 weeks 1 day ago | Thanks for the hard work! |
You will be missed as a mod, but I'm glad to see you're still sticking around to post like BiSB did. |

that the cost to the university was free, based on where it says "in return for the design work..." it makes it sound like the cost to the university is nothing, as long as Nike gets exclusive rights to use that logo exclusively so it can't be used by any other apparel manufacturer for 2 years. |
