Jake Ryan is out indefinitely with a torn ACL suffered in Tuesday's practice.
there are not enough fucks in this world to sum up how upset I am right now. crap.
bad bad spring practice!
wow this sucks. can he get a medical redshirt since he's already been redshirted once before?
I believe that he can.
It's not guaranteed, but his non-medical redshit does not preclude a medical redshirt.
I'm pretty sure redshit is never non-medical.
Generally, they like to see you miss more than one season if they give you a 6th year. It will be a moot point anyway because he'll come back for his 5th year and then go in the draft.
I can't begin to muster the gumption to post anything other than FUCK. GODDAMNIT. FUCK.
Dammit. Dammit. Fuck. Dammit. Dammit. Fuck.
Better now than fall practice I guess.
I don't know WTF this is, but its what I wish someone would do to me right now:
I'll do it.
Some people, that know some people. Those people that my people know, know that I am on the way to do that.
Well then...welp, welp, welp...I'm kind of at a loss here. I'm just baffeled at the continued damage to our best players. The few players we can't really afford to lose.
The absolute surest thing on the defense. Why couldn't you do this right after the bowl game, Jake? :(
Or, like, how about NEVER?
Terrible news. Hopefully Cam Gordon can somewhat fill the void, but man that sucks.
At least it's linebacker, right? RIGHT?
Well, shit, no, that doesn't make me feel any better. Best wishes on your recovery, Jake.
Except now our depth at SAM is Cam Gordon...then air.
Acl is what 9 months? Just in time for the ncg vs Bama... I kid...but no seriously....fuck
NO. NO. NOOOOOOO
what the hell....countess last year, now ryan. we aren't allowed to field our best defenders in the same season??????
Oh God.... Early April Fools? Right? RIGHT!?
Realistic timeline for returning? November?
2014, yo. Bummer.
Please be April fools

Angry Michigan Anterior Cruciate Ligament Hating God! YOU SHALL NOT PASS HERE!
...my co-workers are going to think I have Tourette's as I randomly spew "fuck"'s the rest of the day.
Nice to see that everyone's treating this calmly.
I've said "Fuck" 3,487 times, but all very quietly.
If Michigan loses to SDSU tommorow I am going to shoot my dog, then burn my house down, then drive my car off a bridge.
I would not recommend any of those activities.
as we win I have no issue.
Maybe we get some good karma and make a final 4 run.
Just drive of the bridge instead.
Because, uh...yeah, do it now...
can we just wait for more information from, like, doctors and stuff? before we have a complete pants-shitting meltdown? oh, wait. forgot where i was, there.
Don't see what the big deal is. If it's a confirmed ACL tear, then there's not much one can do at this point. It's not like a different doctor is going to come along and say, "Hey, I magically fixed it!".
My guess is a doctor confirmed an ACL tear, so yeah, a meltdown is order.
that's not cool.
Hopefully he gets better sooner rather than later.
Maybe some Chick-fil-A for lunch will cheer me up . . .
just kidding, but i swear everytime i want Chick Fila it seems to be on a Sunday.
Please let this be it
This sucks. It really does. But if we want a UM to be a consistent championship program, it's going to have to be able to overcome losses like this. Hopefully the staff will be able to adapt the defense to mitigate his loss somewhat, and hopefully some other play makers will step up. Much like Jake Ryan did when he got thrust into the line-up after the starter in front of him went down with injury. We'll see soon what the team is made of, and how good our coaches are.
Hopefully Cam can live up to the hype he has been getting. I think we can still be alright at the SAM position. It'll interesting who gets moved to SAM to get some depth there. I would say Stone but I don't think he has the weight/strength to play end man on the LOS right now.
