Plus he wasn't fired. He was going to get a lesser punishment (a suspension IIRC) but resigned instead. Bo begged him to stay, saying it would all blow over.
|1 day 23 hours ago||Exactly right||
This is exactly right. Before the season they hired Tom Moore as a consultant. Tom Moore was the the Colts OC and was the one who developed the offense that Manning still runs to this day.
|1 week 6 days ago||I remember||
I remember being in the Big House when Navarre went down against Iowa. The fans cheered when he didn't get up. The most disgusting display I've ever witnessed. And the last home game I've gone to.
|1 week 6 days ago||After||
After he got his knee blown up.
|2 weeks 20 min ago||It's like||
It's like eating peanuts. Here's few more:
After another uninspiring effort: "We didn't tackle well today. But we made up for it by not blocking."
Asked where he stood on an upcoming game at Pittsburgh: "With Custer."
After being told his teams didn't play with emotion: "Emotion is overrated. My wife is very emotional. She can't play worth a damn."
On ending the franchise's 26-game losing streak by beating New Orleans in 1977: "Three or four plane crashes and we're in the playoffs."
|2 weeks 24 min ago||And the most||
And the most famous:
On what he thought of his team's execution: "I'm in favor of it."
|2 weeks 58 min ago||Good God||
Good God! You'd think there was only one DC in the whole country. Schafer came from Stanford. Guess who his head coach was at the time. Yet he still came to Michigan for whatever money was offered. Too bad he wasn't allowed to coach his way.
|2 weeks 1 day ago||He wasn't||
He wasn't a hero in Madison. Nobody here misses him.
|2 weeks 1 day ago||So||
So Furman is having success. Good for him, but what is the overall percentage of success for the rest of the guys who transferred out of the program? Pretty small.
|2 weeks 2 days ago||Bye||
|2 weeks 2 days ago||Mattison||
Mattison left Michigan for Notre Dame because Notre Dame gave his daughter a scholorship when Michigan wouldn't. Remember, Michigan was pretty parsimonious with assistant coach money.
|2 weeks 5 days ago||Oregon||
Oregon started 4 2nd string O linemen due to injury. I think the jury is still out on Arizona's defense.
|2 weeks 6 days ago||You apparently||
You apparently missed the bowl game. I don't blame you.
|3 weeks 23 hours ago||Oregon's||
Oregon's OLine had 4 2nd stringers playing because of injury. Their combined starts were worse than ours. Think how we've made Dlines look lately.
|3 weeks 4 days ago||Except||
Except here you are posting like an mlive commenter or someone from 11 Warriors. Perhaps you'd be better served by leaving here and going there.
|3 weeks 5 days ago||He was||
He was treated so shabbily he got a huge raise from LSU each time. I wish I was treated that badly.
|3 weeks 6 days ago||You're||
You're probably one who applauded Devin when he was limping around last year against OSU,
|3 weeks 6 days ago||Oh good||
Oh good, A fat joke. Fuck you and the horse you road in on. Take that shit to 11 Warrriors.
|4 weeks 3 min ago||Zurich||
Zurich? Really, Zurich?
|4 weeks 2 hours ago||I'm sorry||
I'm sorry. I can't let that stand. I get it you don't like him and you want him gone but don't just pull shit out of your ass. One of the first public things Hoke said after evaluating his new team in 2011 was that he'd never seen a D1 team with as little depth on the O line as Michigan had. He the went out the next 2 years and recruited 10 O lineman who were mostly 4 stars. You can argue development, but you can't say he didn't identify the problem.
|4 weeks 3 hours ago||We had||
"We had to destroy the village in order to save it." Stupid then and stupid now.
|4 weeks 22 hours ago||He ain't||
He ain't coming. Besides he said on the Mike & Mike show this morning that Hoke was a good friend of his. He's not going to take his place. Certainly not after the way he's been treated.
|4 weeks 2 days ago||Moeller wasn't||
Moeller wasn't fired. He resigned. Bo begged him not to, but he did anyway.
|4 weeks 3 days ago||Missouri||
Missouri has done pretty well under Pinkel. He'd be my choice if he wasn't 62 years old.
|4 weeks 5 days ago||It's not funny||
It's not funny. I had a boss get killed in a traffic accident exactly like that.
|4 weeks 5 days ago||Doesn't||
Doesn't he have eligibility left?
|4 weeks 5 days ago||Because||
Because in college you can skip the hassle of having to deal with bitchy millionaire players.
|4 weeks 6 days ago||Not||
Not when you're mixing.
|5 weeks 2 days ago||He wasn't||
He wasn't going to win 8 games with that defense.
|5 weeks 2 days ago||Isn't this||
Isn't this the offense that scored 26 points against UTSA and almost lost 26-23? The same UTSA team that just got blown out 43-13 by Okie State?
