There is no reason at all our defense is doomed to be bad next year. We still probably have the 2nd or 3rd best personnel in the conference in terms of raw talent. At corner, we had three top-200 recruits sitting on the bench because they were young.

That's a stretch. I do believe defensive tackle is still a position.

And if those young Top 200 corners were all that why didn't they play? Gemon Green was adequate on a good day and Vincent Gray, though a fine person I am sure, was a disaster on the field. Makari Paige played (safety I know) so why not Seldon? Why not Jalen Perry?

There is going to be a lot of offensive talent over the next few years. Today has given us a lot of reason to be optimistic for the first time in a while. Here’s to hoping today’s guys turn this around!

Definitely a lot of talent on the offensive side of the ball. Interesting thing to think about, but depending on how things on the defense shake out in the off-season, the team may be in a position where the offense needs to carry the defense, and not the other way around.

But hey, this is an age where offense is winning championships and your defense needs to be just good enough. I’d rather roll into the OSU game with an offense that can put up 40-50 points in a given week and a good but not great defense vs. having an elite defense but an offense that can’t consistently move the ball.

Was anxiously awaiting a Worthy commitment thread since 4:00. Then I got 3 of them!!

Welcome aboard!

In truth, the offensive staff deserves credit for keeping their part of the class together and adding Edwards today.

Did I say it was a positive? Just pointing out what I think will happen based on the trend we are seeing. It is a positive in the sense that keeping the staff together held together probably our most complete offensive class in recent memory. On paper, we now have the type of offense and type of players to be a dynamic offense. Whether or not everything actually comes together is another topic.

Still time to get Rayshaun Benny, George Rooks, and Ceyair Wright if we hire the right defensive staff to close the deal.

Phenomenal news! Fastest player since, what, Wheatley?

The talent on offense is there to be top 10. Coaching needs to develop and put it together, whoever it may be.
