Worst collision ever?
The UofM/PSU game always jogs my memory back to this hit:

Can anyone tell me what happened to the PSU guy? I know the UofM kid broke a bone in his neck. The YouTube member says it ended both of their careers, is this true for the PSU kid?
This has to be one of the top five worst collisions in football. Or at least one of the most violent.

Not sure what happened to the Penn State guy, but that is why you never, ever lead with the head.

was the Michigan FS, you're looking at the last play of his career.

I think very few people know that Taylor didn't play again after laying this hit.

A piece on him a few years back, that must be what you are talking about. Sad to see his career end like that.

I believe he's coaching High School sports back in Texas now.

was the Penn St FB/TE with the ball. I don't believe he played again, but I can't find confirmation.

Quick google search didn't turn up much. Found this though:
"The Wolverines truly left their mark on the Lions -- in the form of pain. Fullback Bob Stephenson, tailback/fullback Chris Eberly and defensive tackle David Fleischhauer all sustained concussions of varying degrees against Michigan.
Paterno said Fleischhauer and Eberly may play this week, but was certain Stephenson would be out for at least a month. Stephenson sustained his injury in a spectacular collision with safety Daydrion Taylor along the sideline. Stephenson was knocked unconscious on the play."
Also, a Daily article mentions it here:

That's on the car crash level of violence. It's tragic, but also fortunate that Taylor is able to walk.

At the 7:05 mark here Ernest Shazor lays the wood to a guy from Purdue. Not as good as the Penn State hit, but I have always remembered it.
