Workaround for slow loading on iPhone (add the page to your home screen)
Slow page loading on the iPhone got you down? Does it feel like even the ending of the MSU-Davidson game was faster than the time it takes to load the blog on your phone? Just can't take it any longer and want to give up?
If so, then I've got the solution for you. Add MGoBlog to your home screen!
A number of people have complained about this so I thought I'd share what worked for me.
Just go to MGoBlog on Safari. Once it (finally) loads, find the icon at the bottom of the screen that looks like a square with an upward facing arrow. Tap that icon and then choose "Add to Home Screen". Then just avoid trying to access the page through Safari altogether. Whenever you want to visit the site, just click on the MGoBlog app icon on your home screen. It should load right away.
It worked for me. Now let's make it work for you!

I already did this long ago but I just deleted that icon and re-added to the Home Screen and it works like a charm.

Blue, when I do that it gives me 3 choices, go to PDF, archive, and web PDF. Which one do I choose? And then what?
Hmmmm. I don't see those options. My phone gives me the options to "Add to Reading List", "Add Bookmark", "Add to Favorites", or "Add to Home Screen". It looks like this (instructions):
XM, I found those options that you mention (did you click on the 'options' at the top of the screen after tapping the box with the upward arrow?).
After tapping the box with the upward arrow, scroll down further on the page. It should then show you the option to add to home screen.

i found that screen exactly like you did, and almost by accident i swiped it up and lo and behold, the other choices appeared. thank you very much for the iphone 'hack' on getting to mgoblog.

This works to open the main moonlight page but is there a way to put the forum message board as a direct link to the Home Screen? So it opens the message board directly instead of the main page?
I tried to do that but couldn't figure it out. It defaults to the main page and won't let me change the url when I tap to add it to the home screen.
Use DuckDuckGo. Loads super fast.
