Wojo & Angelique question.

Submitted by sjs1984 on
Are they "All in" or has their relationship with the program been managed from an "arms length" with RR ? It just seems to me that both used to provide solid insight... and although homerism was at play.... hey.. so what? They also used to have inside information. Now... they are vanilla... and honestly add little to no value, especially compared to this blog... Anything going on here? or is this a impact from the jihad?

my comment really was about their relationship with the program.  It is very well known how close Angelique and LC were... I am not suggesting that they should behave like "homers" and not be objective... My comment is more based on the fact that if they had close relationships with the program in the past....  is it the same with the current administration/program... or is it more of an arms length relationship...?

Based upon my observations, I believe it is the latter... and I wonder why?  That's all.

I don't understand why it's a journalist's job to be "All In" for anything.  Note that this is a different thing from having an agenda.

I've found Angelique to be extremely good at balancing "homer" with "realistic," and Wojo to have a knack for writing a pretty well-thought-out column on a consistent basis.

Those relationships take time to form. New coach, new AD. Give it some time and the go to reporters for the current crop will emerge, maybe AC, maybe not.

I don't know much about Angelique except that she picked Western over UM last year, UCONN over UM this year, and ND over UM this week. I'm starting to think she could be our good luck charm.

doing each other. Oh, that wasn't the question?

I don't think any reporter is that close to the program after everything that we have been dragged through the last few years. It will take time before a reporter can build trust with the program.
