Mason NEEDS this, Pistons, after all you've put him through
Wilton Speight makes early roster for UA AA game
Totally better than not making the early roster!
Not topic worthy, as I have no information aside from two word quotes, but Jabrill Peppers was in "awe" of his Michigan visit, which was his "best visit". He used phrases like "mind blowing" and "exhilirating". Anyone care to expound?
If we can lock up the top two Rivals guys... man...
I've been F5'ing all day waiting for some Friday recruitin' to see some Peppers quotes. I am disappoint.
Rivals has a free article about his visit, with longer quotes.
You're about a month and a half late, but still good news.
I'm curious as to why Cole and Ferns haven't been invited yet? I was under the assumption they were more highly rated than Speight. I still think it's great Speight got the invite, but wondering if the other two will as well.
Still not totally sold on Speight despite the coaches loving him, etc. Nothing to do with star rankings or anything but more the ugly parts of his videos. While accurate and looking great at times it is clearly bad competition and his motion/behavior post snap bother me. All can be fixed so I absolutely accept him but I kind of want him to destroy one or two camps and the UA game to rest my concerns.
I think a lot of that could have to do with the bad o-line he's playing behind.
"Still not totally sold on Speight despite the coaches loving him, etc." LMAO
Just because he's not a coach it could still be a valid complaint. Don't have to be a jerk about it.
I get what he's complaining about but I look at results rather than the mechanics at this stage. He gets the ball to his receivers accurately and puts the ball in the right spots. I like what he brings.
on one hand I think it is fucking hilarious that people feel like their feelings on a particular recruit superceed the coaches...
on the other hand lemmings never last... so props for being contrarian!
I would really like to go to the UA game and see a Michigan commit be one of the major players. Last game, Shane Morris obviously hadn't fully "caught up" from the time he lost due to mono. Hopefully, Spreight will have a great season, and play well in the next UA game.
