- Michigan players probably sold their sneaks, this is a good way to get really boring shoes next time
- The Nassar thing, still so very sad, good he was brought to justice

- Matt Dudek twitter meltdown (maybe last season)
- FBI NCAA investigation still a thing

I believe the football team went to Paris this year and Rome was the year before, but I could be mistaken.
August 13th, 2018 at 10:17 AM ^
The Pope is now in Paris?!?
August 13th, 2018 at 10:25 AM ^
Avignon Papacy?
August 13th, 2018 at 10:55 AM ^
The Avignon Papacy was a terrible idea last time. This time, could probably work...
August 13th, 2018 at 10:59 AM ^
+1 (sorry it's the best I can do with no thumbs)
August 13th, 2018 at 11:48 AM ^
You type well for not having thumbs.
August 13th, 2018 at 12:29 PM ^
Can't argue with you on this one, given s/n.
August 13th, 2018 at 10:28 AM ^
Decided they wanted to operate out of France again, but not Avignon.
August 13th, 2018 at 10:05 AM ^
Went to Paris/Normandy not Rome this year. Otherwise good recap.
August 13th, 2018 at 12:13 PM ^
Thanks, unfortunately i don't see an edit button on the post
August 13th, 2018 at 10:06 AM ^
You lost me with Lionesses. I guess I can't read further and need more coffee.
August 13th, 2018 at 10:08 AM ^
Michigan hockey to the frozen four was pretty big too, and Quinn Hughes returning.
August 13th, 2018 at 12:14 PM ^
Thanks for mentioning this, very cool for Michigan, I'm just not a hockey guy
August 13th, 2018 at 10:12 AM ^

August 13th, 2018 at 10:49 AM ^
Thanks. I did not know either. I am cranky and old. I wonder what is wrong with Ok Thanks Bye. Saving a few letters I guess.
August 13th, 2018 at 11:09 AM ^
It's meant to convey the feeling one would get if they heard "Ok, thanks, bye" crammed into one word quickly spoken, most likely with sarcasm. This is my belief at least.
August 13th, 2018 at 11:16 AM ^
kthxbai is sarcastic. It doesn't really mean "thanks." It's the written equivalent of the Powers Boothe "well.... bye" in Tombstone.
August 13th, 2018 at 12:03 PM ^
yes. Kthxksbi and it's equivalents can best be described as "dismissive" conversation enders.
August 13th, 2018 at 12:08 PM ^
I fully expect a new MgoBlog username to appear KTHXBAI.
August 13th, 2018 at 10:17 AM ^
Too soon for an offseason recap. A lot can happen in 2.5 weeks.
August 13th, 2018 at 10:18 AM ^
Member when Mineral King left and no one gave a rat's ass?
August 13th, 2018 at 11:26 AM ^
Didn't Maizen get a new alias, and already get sent packing again?
August 13th, 2018 at 12:14 PM ^
What about the other 5 accounts he posts on?
August 13th, 2018 at 10:19 AM ^
Luke Yaklich.
Otherwise good recap - perhaps a bit more than a blip on Michigan's improbable run to the Frozen Four, Hughes return, etc...
August 13th, 2018 at 12:15 PM ^
drat, i tried to spell all the names right but didn't think to check that one. thanks for fixing it. if you're reading this, sorry coach
August 13th, 2018 at 10:20 AM ^
You may have forgotten to be funny, but otherwise the recap was solid.
August 13th, 2018 at 10:26 AM ^
It may not have been perfectly accurate or comprehensive, but I enjoyed it. Quite an eventful offseason indeed.
August 13th, 2018 at 10:27 AM ^
Why do we want to write in Condi Rice as President? Not sure if serious.
August 13th, 2018 at 10:35 AM ^
I was going someone had asked that. I'd like a qualified president who is interested in fixing the country rather than getting reelected next time. Someone to figure out how to lower the debt while rebuilding infrastructure. Probably at the expensive of both social entitlement and defense spending.
August 13th, 2018 at 10:51 AM ^
Starting a political war?
August 13th, 2018 at 11:00 AM ^
Just stop. He was trying to be funny.
August 13th, 2018 at 11:11 AM ^
Was he? I was honestly confused about that. I'm sure there are some people who would like the idea and others who would consider them a way to start a fight. I don't know enough about her thoughts on how to run a country that it meant anything to me.
August 13th, 2018 at 12:21 PM ^
Lets just assume this was a failed attempt at humor and get on with our day then? Kthxbai
August 13th, 2018 at 11:06 AM ^
No. I don't think there's a politician from either side of the aisle who can do these things. They're to beholden to special interest groups to do any good for the country.
August 14th, 2018 at 10:56 AM ^
Amen! They're all corrupt.
August 13th, 2018 at 10:32 AM ^
Good list, it has definitely been a crazy off season.
One major thing to add: Beilein's successful double-bypass surgery last week.
August 13th, 2018 at 12:16 PM ^
yes, good one
August 13th, 2018 at 10:36 AM ^
Bush Jr. going full predator with the new hairstyle needs to be included in this.
August 13th, 2018 at 10:37 AM ^
You remembered all this off the top of your head?
August 13th, 2018 at 10:49 AM ^
Good overall recap and reminder of some items that passed by quickly.
The "DJ Durkin killed a guy" quip was in poor taste, but thanks for some Monday morning information all the say.
August 13th, 2018 at 12:16 PM ^
fair enough
August 13th, 2018 at 10:57 AM ^
The Pope in France? Not again!
August 13th, 2018 at 11:14 AM ^
juvenile humor, as if emily litella were still on saturday night live [insert her pic here. curse you 3.0]
emily litella: what's all this business about you poped in your pants? that's disgusting and it shouldn't be in the news!
chevy chase: ah, no emily, that was 'the pope is in france', not 'poped in your pants'.
emily: oh. well why didn't you say so. never mind.
