Wild-card Monday Night Football: Arizona Cardinals vs. Los Angeles Rams
Well, the final game of the NFL's wild-card round has arrived.
AZ vs LA... Who ya got?
A bit more than passing interest for Lions fans: Rams lose, and our second first-round pick ends up higher than most expected. Rams win, and Matthew Stafford fans can finally see that monkey off his back. Should be a good one!

Ugh Stafford is the worst under pressure.

Well If he is, Kyler Murray is a close second

As much as I’d like to get the higher pick, I’d really like to see Stafford succeed and win some playoff games. He’s been nothing but appreciative and professional during the trade with LA and still reflects positively on his time with the Lions even through so many front office and coaching transitions.
Go get your win, Stafford!

Agreed, but sure would like to lock up that #23 pick tonight.

Vlady you had a good weekend on my ‘pickin and grinnin’ thread. Who you got tonight?
pulling for stafford and the rams.
EDIT: TD rams, hooray.
ram unis are cursed other than the helmets. Convince me otherwise…

I biffed that Cowboys pick (forgetting how soft they were up front) but did okay with the rest.
I like LA to pull this out tonight, as long as McVay doesn't abandon the run. Worry if you ever see LA in an empty set.
Cackle with knowing glee whenever OBJ or Kupp has single coverage.

Like that last TD lol

Prediction checks out.

Watching players from Detroit leave to find success is damn near the only playoff excitement I have outside of watching former Michigan players. Usually, go with whichever team has the most former Michigan players with the number of B10 players as the tie breaker.
Rams
- David Long Jr.
- Side note: LA has 14 former B10 players.
Arizona
- None
- Side note: AZ only has 2 former B10 players.

The cardinals are ass

Totally pulling for Stafford. He stuck it out in Detroit for such a long time.
January 17th, 2022 at 10:26 PM ^
He stuck it out for 250 million dollars. Stafford choked in the biggest moments in Detroit. I hope the rams lose every game so the lions have a better pick. Go lions

David Long pick-six!!! #GoBlue
January 17th, 2022 at 9:32 PM ^
David Long! And wow was that pass a bad idea.
January 17th, 2022 at 9:46 PM ^
Kyler Murray should’ve Kyler Scurried on that one.

David Long with the pick six. Go blue.

Another abysmal NFL playoff game. Arizona laying another egg.

This had to be the worst wildcard weekend in history, right? Bengals v. Raiders was the only game that wasn't a blowout, circus, or a combination of the two.

Haven’t been watching, just tuning back in. The Cardinals look like a defeated team right now, the body English is very bad.
EDIT: uh oh, left knee tweak for long.

Everyone knew Stafford would have a successful career once he left the Lions. Good for him!!
January 17th, 2022 at 9:46 PM ^
This is really surprising. No one was playing better than Kyler the first half of the season. Then he started falling off around Thanksgiving, and tonight he's God-Awful.

Mar-vell studios!? What the heck Steve Levy?

Can Akers coming back from injury is paying dividends early. Sony has the hands out of the backfield but Cam has the 2nd gear outside and between the tackles. Stafford didn’t have to throw, like Cade our first couple games.
January 17th, 2022 at 10:16 PM ^
Looks like Stafford is going to get that first playoff win come up 28 to nothing. Next weeks game would be in Tampa Bay against the Bradys.

So far so good.......

Cardinals have been blasted into oblivion tonight. Their 2nd best defender is down right now.

I can't remember the last time I've seen offensive holding called more than they've called it in this game.

On the Manningcast, Russell Wilson loves the sound of Russell Wilson.

In regards to what happened to Zona, part of the problem is the NFL always adjusts. Teams are now on the Zona horizontal passing game. Without Hopkins to bail the offense out with his ridiculousness, it is just a matter of squatting on everything short and spying Murray. The question for Zona is can they come up with a counter.
