Who Want's Bo's Leisure Suit (Schembechler Estate Sale)
If I didn't live in Arizona, I'd be all over this chance to own Bo's drill or chainsaw. Story about the Schembechler estate sale, scheduled for Th-Sun, here: http://www.mlive.com/wolverines/index.ssf/2012/09/report_bo_schembechler_estate.html#incart_river
Direct link to sale with pictures of items here: http://www.estatesales.net/estate-sales/341946.aspx
The article mentions vintage clothing (didn't see any in the pictures, however) - if there's a leisure suit that looks like it could have been worn on Michigan Replay, somebody buy it for me and I'll pay you back!
Bo's DRILL fergodsakes!

Bones? Or BOnes? Either way, creepy! I support your effort to buy these, Bosch - anything to keep them out of the hands of the Dead Schembechlers.

Have to admit I didn't know what a "noguchi table" was, so I googled......and was entertained:

Too many machined parts there to be from SEC country. The SEC version would be made of wood and be much, much, much faster than this one.

"Arguably the terrarium capital of the world". That particular one is called the Millenium Terrarium, and is the largest stained glass terrarium in the world.

But I logged in to thank you for bringing the knowledge full force. Consider me more conversant in the world of terraria.

Yes, but a play-doh terrarium is still faster than a dilithium B1G Terrarium.

6 years to reach the point of having an estate sale?
September 26th, 2012 at 11:49 AM ^
It's an unnamed (i.e., 'other') Schembechler.
September 26th, 2012 at 1:00 PM ^
Not entirely true. The articles, particularly the freep article, specificaly state that there are Bo-owned items, including his first desk. That said, I'm sure there is plenty of merchandise that isn't/wasn't Bo's.

Definitely a Dewalt man - I have the same drill bit set...awesome.

Heaven forbid that I made a typo in an otherwise grammatically sound post. Sometimes the brain just doesn't send the right signals to my fingers, friend.

Quite a tasty drink, I might add. Bo had good taste. Wait, what's that? You meant something else?
Oh.

All it says is the "Last Schembechler in Ann Arbor" sale... is this stuff owned by one of his kids?
As for the bones, that's what I want too. I think it's Woody Hayes.
September 25th, 2012 at 7:20 PM ^
Hillarious thought re: Woody's bones being under Schembechler control. The way estate sales work, I can virtually guarantee a bunch of that stuff probably didn't belong to Bo. A lot of times the companies that run these things actually bring in merchandise to a home that they had acquired elsewhere, just to fill up the house with for sale merchandise. The freep link in the mlive story does say that Bo's first desk is in the sale though - that is a pretty darn historic piece.

The real question is: Who doesn't want Bo's leisure suit?
Even cousin Eddie doesn't know...
September 25th, 2012 at 8:03 PM ^
a prison thing. My dad--who was a contemporary of Bo's--had one of those. So did the doctor we used to smoke pot with in Barton Hills. Or was that the little Fillipino guy who slept with his wife?

It just has to be there somewhere.

Do want six year old computer.

by soldering bookends onto them; I have several.
September 25th, 2012 at 11:24 PM ^
Yes, please sell them to the middle-aged and beyond. We're blind as bats and they make for great hockey pucks in the senior leagues. The fact they are not round does not matter much. Because we can see them.
September 25th, 2012 at 11:18 PM ^
Looks like a lot of things that very well may have been Bo's, a lot of things that don't look like they've ever been used, and a lot of stuff that is far newer than 2006. The house looks very similar to the one Cathy was living in after he died (Robbie Timmons did a big special with her in the house, and it looks familiar), so this very well could be a lot of her stuff, things she bought after he died, etc. and she's just moving somewhere else/consolodating homes.
All in all, a bit creepy, probably not a lot worth buying, and what you are buying may have no connection to the man himself.

I don't know who "Who Want" is, but he's got a hell of a collection of Bo's items.
#MindYourApostrophes
At any rate, I'm not fit to wear Bo's clothes. I mean, I wear red sometimes.

Estate sales are similar to garage sales, and typically prices are reduced on items as the sale progresses. Not an auction format and the seller is typically open to selling in lots or for individual items.

Bo and I had / have the same coffee table. Man had some good taste.
