Isn't that the 49er that said,in the HBO Real Sports episode, that Harbaugh was too had to play for, and that he should calm down because they had got to the top?  Dumb comment, because they lost and hadn't made it to the top.

I remember the episode that you're talking about. I don't remember everything Boone said, but he basically said Jim is a good guy, they both share the same values, but his intensity and quirkiness led to some friction between the two of them, and he had to pull Harbaugh aside at one point and say "Jim, you're pissing me off."

Correct. Alex Boone was the primary player who criticized Harbaugh in the interview for pushing the players and demanding too much. My favorite part was the quote "'Dude, we got over the mountain. Stop. Let go.'" Dude, you lost the Super Bowl. You didn't get over the mountain and that is why he was still pushing. No surprise the franchise fell apart after Harbaugh left and Boone was on another team not long after.

Alex Boone.  I don't know what to say.

When Harbaugh went to San Francisco - Boone was an underperforming OL.   Harbaugh "coached him up" - and did a lot from moving Boone from an undrafted "reserve OL" - to someone who reached NFL All-Pro levels of play.

For years - Boone ripped on Harbaugh because of the ties to Michigan - and, IIRC - he had a lot more "Buckeye based" negative comments than appreciation for how much Harbaugh developed his talents.

It's interesting to see Boone share a "newfound fondness" for Harbaugh.

When Jim was rumored to be going to the Vikings, Boone was on a podcast saying that Harbaugh was awesome. He said the team loved him and hated Trent Baalke. I know a guy who is a good friend of Baalke. He hates Harbaugh, but I never told him what Boone said... because his wife was my boss!
