Where to watch game in Nashville?

In Nashville for the weekend.  Are there any Michigan bars around?

While this is true...sitting in the corner of a sports bar with no game sound, no cheers, and surrounded by Missouri SEC slappies in town for the Vandy game while you watch the small TV on the corner

vs.

Packed wall to wall with folks in maize and blue, every TV turned to the game, Hail to the Victors blaring after scores, raffles supporting the local alumni scholarship fund, Nashville specific UM gear (seriously, buy this year's tee, it's cool) and Michigan beer discounts...

I'd choose the latter.

EDIT: I always hate the answer of "everywhere will have it on". You could also watch it alone in your hotel room. Finding the game on a TV is never the hurdle...OP is just wanting to cheer along with other fans in a new city. Sorry you're getting negged, OP. It's not that hard to help our own.

Hey, we should make a kind of pseudo-permenant post all about UM friendly bar locations all over the country!  Wouldn't that be a great idea!  Oh, and get off my lawn.

If I’m in Nashville on a Saturday night I’m not sitting down watching a football game. Even if it is a huge Michigan game...

I live in Nashville. Slider House in Midtown. Get there early for a seat. Beer discounts on Michigan beers. Founders, Bell's, etc.

Go to Slider House. I'll see ya there.

Yes. I was there last week and there is a Michigan friendly bar called HQ Beercade Nashville. It's right near the Broadway strip. There is a local alumni group that hosts watch parties there

Different strokes for different folks an all, but I have found your characterization to be untrue. I've watched games at Brewhouse South (when that was a thing), at Slider House, and at HQ. HQ was by far my least favorite because there was no cohesion/camaraderie. On the flip side, there's plenty of that to go around at the alumni/spirit group/whatever it is called events.

We'd love to see you at Slider House. I help organize the watch parties, and we typically have 50-100 people. It does fill up fast for night games - get there plenty early. Expect live audio, the game on every screen, food/drink specials, raffles, t-shirt sales, and more.

As for the environment, the fact that we're in year four there and still fill up most weeks speaks for itself. We always make an announcement to be good to each other and to the servers. For some reason, this bothers jerks. Don't be a jerk and you'll find a welcome home.

Thanks for this! It's been a while since I've joined an official alumni club watch party, but they are always good times, particularly in cities with decent numbers. I still wear (mostly as a nightshirt) my very ratty Atlanta Michigan alumni club t-shirt I won at a watch party in the early 2000's.

When I was in school in Nashville in 1995, I watched Tim Biakabatuka go off for 313 yds vs. OSU at a BW3 there.  Listening to the grumbles and bitches from the SEC Michigan-haters down there (there are a lot of them) was priceless.

Don't know if that helps...but be prepared for a lot of Michigan haters lol.

Regardless of the Michigan game, you should (1) get a drink at the Patterson House; (2) get brunch at Monelle's; (3) have a meal at the Hermitage Hotel. Best southern city outside of New Orleans.
