Maybe Lou knows by now that whatever he says, generally the opposite comes true. He wants Michigan to fail, so he is predicting a halfway decent season. I bet later this week he will call them a dark-horse BCS championship contender, and Forcier the front-runner for Heisman.

Not because of his 7-5 pick for us...Kirk Herbstreit (OSU alum) says the same thing & I respect him a lot more than Ol' Man Holtz!
What I almost choked on...and made me wonder if the Old Man is smoking some MEGA-crack...is his pick of 12 wins & a spot in the national title game for ND?! Talk about being a "homer"...how does ESPN let him get away with that? If our Desmond said that Michigan was going 12-0, he'd probably be laughed off the station.
Yes, the Irish will be better but 12 wins? NO WAY!! I see 9 wins, max and, in fact, I'm going to guarantee that U-M will beat ND in Week 2...and Ol' Man Holtz will be put in a straight jacket & taken to the home, LOL!!

How is Notre Dame going to play in the MNC against Florida as he predicted with a loss to a 7-5 Michigan in week 2?? Does he really think they will have enough time to clime to #2 after that? Notre Dame will win 10 games...from now to the middle of next season.

a lot better then Mark May. That is the one guy on ESPN I can say I dislike the most. I don't think the man has ever said anything good about Michigan and he is the biggest front runner pick guy I have ever seen on tv. If everyone says USC is the best he will agree, Florida etc. I don't think he even gave Utah credit for crushing Bama last year I think he said something like Bama had a bad game and Utah got lucky??? But back to Lou he is crazy you can't understand him but if your an ND fan right now he is filling your heads with something that won't come true. I see this groundswell of ND fans talking like they really think they will be playing in the BCS title game and it's really funny.
