Blatant nepotism is not a

Blatant nepotism is not a good look when the offensive staff is a complete disaster.

And then we wonder why they

And then we wonder why they only give alumni these codes once or twice a year...

Tired of this meme.

Mattison took one of the worst defenses in the entire country and turned it into what it is today by making massive strides every single year. His position group is regarded by basically everyone as the best part of the defense. The team and AD thought highly enough of him that he was the one guy retained by Harbaugh -- something even the untouchable Fred Jackson couldn't manage.

Mattison is more responsible for this year's excellent D than Durkin.

People are definitely

People are definitely overreacting, but it's not because they think we're going to lose recruits to Maryland. Losing Patridge / Durkin might send some guys to Alabama, Texas, etc. when they would have come here otherwise.

"Graphic"

You literally just used the fill button in paint twice.

So this thread of ~30 replies

So this thread of ~30 replies has multiple dentists and a hygienist with at least some level of dissatisfaction.

Not exactly what I had hoped to see as a recent, indecisive graduate who just spent $415 for the privilege of taking the DAT.

Nope.

Nope.

I haven't done this in a

I haven't done this in a couple years, but here's the gist of it.

2. Once the roster is completed, you can either...
---- a) Download the roster from that site and save it to a USB drive.
---- b) They'll post the name of someone's "locker." You type this in somewhere under NCAA's settings (in-game) and you can download the roster directly.

If going the USB route...
3. Plug the USB into your PS3.
4. Find the USB in the PS3 menu; it will be next to the folder of your saved game files.
5. Find the roster file in the USB folder, and click triangle (or whatever it is) to copy the file to your PS3.
6. Go into NCAA's settings and select the roster.

There's a mega thread for each console stickied that has updates on the progress of a collaborative roster. It probably won't be done for several months, and it certainly won't be the first one out, but it's higher quality.

I referenced that very injury

I referenced that very injury as the reason I didn't think he played high school ball. Since that's the reason he stopped before his HS days were over, that's hardly even a stretch.

I'm not even 0-1 in that paragraph, but since we're cherry-picking things out of posts now, I unearthed this illuminati message in yours...

"So far you are 0-2 in your claims about Jay Harbaugh. "

If we take the "Q" from Quattro and the "d" from suffered, add it to the above sentence, rearrange the letters, and then delete everything else, your post actually says GO AL QAEDA.

You terrorist son of a bitch.

Some people here are really

Some people here are really overstating the prestige of a QC guy, NFL or not. If it happens all the time, please provide some examples of it happening at other top 10 programs.

There is no reason to take mild criticism of a hire so personally. He is pretty objectively underqualified. That doesn't mean I think the team's doomed.

The transition from a QC job

The transition from a QC job to position coach may be normal at a D2 or low-tier D1 school.

This is Michigan.

His uncle kept him employed

His uncle kept him employed by a Super Bowl champion.

For all I know he is a super hard worker that deserved the job, but let's be real.

Pretty sure Brandon Brown was

Pretty sure Brandon Brown was a teacher doing the recruitnik think on the side. At least that was the case when he was here.

Definitely didn't play

Definitely didn't play college football. I don't think he even played in high school. I remember reading something about an injury but I'm not sure when it happened.

His dad called up Riley at OSU and got him into some program there as an assistant with the football team. I thought he stayed there for ~3 years and didn't get a degree, but according to others he has a degree from OSU in sociology.

In that case, I stand

In that case, I stand corrected regarding the degree. I thought he just did three years there and didn't finish.

With that said, 175k coming off a degree in Sociology from Oregon State really has to skew whatever graduate employment statistics the school puts out.

Honest question - what

Honest question - what exactly has he done so far that has seemed impressive?

He didn't land Clark, and he can't spell Adidas. That's all we know at this point.

Jay Harbaugh making 25k less

Jay Harbaugh making 25k less than a former NFL OC with no degree, playing experience, or coaching experience.

Dat name tho.

North Quad Flood

It's not.

It's not.

"My dad was like. ‘I ran a 3.6 (40-yard dash) in high school’"

I wonder where he gets it.

Who cares?

Who cares?

Jay?

Jay?

Bullshit. The guy has 0

Bullshit. The guy has 0 experience as a coach, 0 experience as a player, and is 25 years old. Do you think he's going to have the respect of D1 athletes that are literally the same age as him, or be able to tell the parents of recruits that he'll take care of their kids? Nothing on his resume suggests he should be making hundreds of thousands of dollars at one of the country's premier programs.

It's a terrible hire. People would be up in arms if the "kid's" (as you pointed out yourself...) name wasn't Harbaugh.

This is exactly what everyone

This is exactly what everyone was talking about in 2008.

This is exactly what everyone was talking about in 2011.

Just stop.

Sam came up with the $49

Sam came up with the $49 million number, and *speculated* 8 years. Someone else then said 6 years.

He's going to have a fun time explaining this post

He's going to have to explain this post in every interview he has for the rest of his career.

No, he's correct,

No, he's correct, unfortunately. Andy Moeller has had at least three alcohol related arrests / DUIs.

Terrible idea. Renders half

Terrible idea. Renders half the regular season, conference championship, and bowl games completely irrelevant. You know, the cornerstones of college football.

6 teams, #1 and #2 get BYEs. Anything more is involving teams that have no argument.

Test scores and GPA are the

Test scores and GPA are the two most important factors in Ivy League admittance.

So... Okay, then.

This is the typical WD post,

There is no justification for the insane level of hype he receives on this blog.

This is blatantly false.

This is blatantly false.

You don't need over a 30 for consideration. A 30 is, at worst, around the 50th percentile of attending students. The "friend's daughter" bit is the type of anecdotal evidence that makes navigating application advice almost impossible. There are obviously isolated horror stories, but honestly if she was flatly rejected with a 28 in-state she almost certainly had serious issues elsewhere on her application.

GPA > ACT score, though both are important.
