That's the problem.  Harbaugh thought him too much.  Durkin is going to steal/copy Harbaugh's recruiting/staffing guys and tactics.  Worst part is he's going to a team in the same division.

He's still gonna get punked the next couple years as he's inheriting a garbage team.

He better start Dwayne Haskins from day 1 (assuming he still sticks to his commitment).

I'd take a true freshman over their Armpunt INT Squad any day. Can't be much worse.

Offering our recruiting coordinator(one of our many and we can always get more -Devin Bush Sr) an actual spot on a coaching staff. It's an upgrade for him. And I highly doubt we were gonna give him a job as a positional coach, because he has no college coaching expierence. But if we did he'd take it. This is the cost of having good coaches, they get promotions elsewhere. And when UM is selling their recruiting coordinator spot to people in the future they can point to this.

Dude went from revered to borderline reviled in my mind in like 2 months. Way to interview when you should've been prepping, proceed to lay an egg, and now try to poach another assistant on your way out. I'll be rooting for us to blow Maryland out as long as he's there

Same here. He picked the wrong school to jump to and will now get his ass beat every year, 3-4 times a year. Enjoy your 3 years as a HC before you're fired for performance reasons you arrogant fuck.

This is the only part that pisses me off. I don't think Harbaugh (not that I really know him just a guess) is the type of coach to allow his coaches to interview during the season, especially during a huge rivalry week. I wonder if durkin did this behind harbaughs back and once he found out it was an ultimatum of you aren't coaching at Michigan next year. Again I have no idea if this is how the coaching world works (meaning you ask permission to interview or not) just a thought.
