Truly the golden age of boxing from 1970 to mid late 80's.Between WW of sports and NBC,CBS boxing on the weekends was great.I think ESPN ruined it by saturating the tube.I remember some great fights.Go watch Dwight Braxton and Matthew Franklin being in an absolute war,Sean O'Grady and Shig Fukiyama being in a bloodbath.I enjoyed these fights from my parents basement pre cable tv.

Have to agree and Hagler hearns being the best I have ever seen as far as a round , much less 3 rounds of action.
The greatest punch ever is Rocky Marciano the suzy Q on jersey Joe Walcott in the 13th round

Although this might have been the greatest round I was never more glued to my television anytime Tyson came out to destroy someone.

Single most shocking/surprising thing I have ever seen in sports is still Buster Douglas knocking out Mike Tyson. My dad and I stared at each other slack jawed. It was inconceivable. And yes I know what that word means Princess Bride fans!

Explainable in hindsight but at the time shocking. Buster paid at 37 to 1.
