Wake Up! It's Game Day!

Submitted by cGOBLUEm on September 9th, 2023 at 5:50 AM

Good morning MGoBoard!

Another Saturday has arrived. Im excited to hopefully see some of the players who were held out of the game last week out of caution for injury. Also, I can't wait to see that O-line make some rotations that begin to gel.

What do you all have planned before the mid-afternoon game? I've go three dead trees in my front yard that need to come down, so the chainsaw is coming out!

Have fun, and Go Blue!

”Coming out of my cage and I’ve been doing just fine,,,,”

Cooler weather .. I’ll fertilize the lawn, and shop for a dinner with the extended family tonight.

Entertain the kids... kids swim class... entertain the kids... put kids to sleep... watch the game in silence!

(I live overseas for those thinking we put our kids to bed early)

We have either walked 12-18 holes or biked 20 miles every day this week. So today is a rest day. I do have sourdough rising-so I'll make some bread. We will likely have a grandson come to watch football-then stay over night. I don't care who wins or loses today-except for Michigan...don't worry-be happy.

Bike ride from west side of A2 to Chelsea and back then off to a tailgate, then sec 7.

psa 1:  today’s honorary captain is Tom Maentz. He and Ron Kramer were the the first Michigan athletes to grace  the Sports Illustrated cover. They were known as “the touchdown twins”.

psa 2: trial run for metal detectors at gate 8 …, they’re coming😔.

Walking through today's CFB schedule to see how to optimize which service to use for watching the games.  A large portion of cable subscribers in FL that have Spectrum, don't have ESPN.  Sling has ESPN and Fox, but not CBS or ABC.  Fuck Peacock altogether.  I have to chart this out for Noon, 3:30, and then the night games.  I miss having it all in one place.

Taking my 7 year old daughter to the Plymouth fall fair and continuing my assault on all the wasp nests in my yard.

Let’s get that dominant running game going no matter what the defense is doing.  Go blue!

I need a store trip for weekly provisions and will probably clean out the duck pond filter during the noon games.  Unless one of them captures my attention before I get started, anyway...  If I can knock those out I'll have the rest of the day to watch games with a clear conscience!

I was contemplating chalking up some diagrams in MS paint of that cool fake bubble screen, actually a tunnel screen that Illinois ran a couple of times.  I hadn't seen it before and it seems like a good constraint play if bubble screens are a big part of your offense.

You can see them run it at 9:10 of the video. Also at 23:00

Being the first day in a long time that's not in the 90s? Get some late summer weeding done, clean out the garages a bit, fire up the snow throwers and see what needs to get done to them before they're needed (merde).

Also going to cancel Peacock: they seem to have nothing to justify our attention.

Then? Watch another tuneup game. Going to be a good day!

I'm doing the same thing with my generator. Hurricane season doesn't end for another couple of months...

I'm going to hang on to Peacock until after the MSU-Washington game. I don't want to miss Penix tearing apart that secondary again.

I am currently pouring coffee down my throat. The problem is that I've abused caffeine so much in my life (the one thing I continue to abuse - I've dealt with booze fortunately) that it might be a few hours before I am in fact awake.

Went for a nice walk, toasted up a bagel (with cream cheese eff you NCAA) and have a nice cup of coffee at hand.  Going to contemplate what games to put on screen throughout the day and take a look at the to do list which I'm sure is lengthy.

Just saw the wife off to Happy Valley.... she and a friend are going to watch her friend's son who's a blue hen..... they have the second coolest helmets in college football...

took my dog for her morning walk, was sprinkling when we left increasing to a soft but steady rain...    I'll hit the farmers, which is only two blocks away, for some sweet corn and eggs.

I've got a pail of red beets that need pickled, so i'll start that process this morning.

Then chill and watch football all day, until its time to meet up with the posse for dinner and beers at the local craft brewery.

Waiting for this stubborn cloud layer to break up so it can warm up a little more this afternoon. Might have to wear a jacket vest to keep warm. Some love this early fall weather but I want a little more summer, speaking only for myself.

I'll be leaving to tailgate very soon then attend the game from the south end zone area.

Go Blue! Win big!!
