Don't really follow hockey but anyone can tell this guy is a great guy. The number of awesome seniors leaving Michigan this year is too damn high!
Fail. Double post. Here's a pictures of a cat:
Is easily my favorite Michigan athlete. I feel supremely lucky for having had the opportunity to witness his final year here.
Love the last question of the press conference, where Hunwick thinks that reporter is making fun of his age. "I guess I don't really understand the question." No, Shawn, not you being 24, you being the 24th straight Michigan team to make the CCHA semis.
Super hard worker, great story, but this kid's talent is sick, and it feels like that gets lost in the telling sometimes.
He's an amazing little athlete, with incredible reflexes, flexibility which is both not normal and awesome, and a remarkable feel for the game.
We got to watch an amazing kid, an amazing story, and all of that - but we also got to watch an amazing talent once Hunwick got the spot between the pipes.
a Michigan Man.
Hunwick does set the bar for our hockey players. Could be a top ten Michigan athlete of all time. Proud to have him as one of our own.

The Canadian national anthem was pretty funny. Great game boys. See you in the Motor.

Anyone else notice the "Burn the Boats" sign behind Red in the locker room? Is this something the team has used all year, or is it new for the playoffs? Interesting that hockey would use the same rallying cry Beilein used for our NCAA tourney run a few years ago.

Red alwasys says that Michigan Hockey is as good as their seniors. Tiny Jesus has been great, and he as the ability (with our D) to pitch shutouts. Let's hope for a long "skate" this march through hockey's Big Dance!

Do we have a goaltending coach? I'd love to see Hunwick stay a part of the program if he doesn't get a shot to play somewhere, whether in Europe or in the Bigs. I think he could make a great coach someday. Obviously, he loves Michigan and doesn't want to leave.

Josh Blackburn is the volunteer goalie coach right now. He goaltended for Michigan between Turco and Montoya I believe. So it doesn't look like it's available for Hunwick now, but I wouldn't be at all surprised to see him back on the Michigan bench in the future
