Video of Draymond Green throwing sucker punch

When Michael Jordan punched Steve Kerr in practice, most people chalked it up to an attempt at leadership. If Rodman had done it, it would have been widely viewed as a distraction. Judging by the reaction thus far, this is being viewed as a distraction for the Warriors. I'll let you draw your own conclusion as to what that means about all the talk of "Draymond as team leader."

If Draymond is ever your team leader, you have already lost.

Sparties gonna Spart

This is a cheap shot but those calling this a sucker punch are reaching. He simply threw the first punch after the shove. Poole should have been ready/mindful.
That said Drammond is a punk and I can’t stand him or his antics and hopefully the team just shows him the door.

Dude, that is assault to a T...a jumping, lunging punch, lucky it didnt do big time damage to JP.
He is such a giant pile of garbage.

Anyone defending Green is either 1) a sparty 2) didnt watch the video 3) a danger to society, fuck off (please dont hit me).

That was a lot more blatant than I was expecting. And that’s saying something.
Par for the course with Draymond Green.

That was quite a heavy punch. Darren McCarty would say he coldcocked him, as they're facing each other.
Triple single is a punk ass bitch.

In The Last Dance Jordan talks about picking a fight with Steve Kerr, feeling bad about it, and how Kerr felt good for standing up for himself. This doesn't look like that at all.
Draymond is not MJ. His suspension in the 2016 finals may have cost Golden State a ring. At a certain point you have to manage your emotions or they will only become a liability for you. Refs will always focus more on a guy like him and opponents know he's easy to lure. No basketball player should be so consistently top-3 in techs.
I'll give him all the credit in the world for his game but would rather have a guy like Pascal Siakam over him any day, not for his scoring but his temperament and focus.

Team released it so when they trade him, the fans understand, partially, why

Trade him? Trade value is NIL

I feel like this is not the same as when Isiah broke his hand on Laimbeer's face.

Someone in this thread said don't go to RCMB. I did not listen. I should have listened.

No need to even look. Surely they are proud of him, and consider getting punched in the face while your hands are down a sign of being soft. Throw in some talk about any Michigan player/fan deserving it and that we can't beat them in football since "Mr. Career .500" showed up, and that should just about do it.

One quote from RCMB: "No one is outraged by this but UM fans..."
It's literally the top of reddit/r/popular, as an example, with 44.4k upvotes, in which Draymond is receiving almost universal condemnation. I guess everyone on Reddit are Michigan fans, lol.

“Not everybody is the perfect person in the world…Everyone does -- sucker punches teammates, murders people, assaults you, assaults me. I just feel that people need to give him a chance.”

Green a female dog for that one right there!! Somebody need to go see him when he least expect it!!
October 7th, 2022 at 7:41 PM ^
Please don’t insult female dogs that way.

Ugly incident. Looks like Draymond snapped. Draymond got his reputation the old fashion way- he earned it.
October 7th, 2022 at 7:33 PM ^
Can't be a sucker punch when you facing them.
October 7th, 2022 at 7:41 PM ^
Draymond Green is disgusting!
October 7th, 2022 at 8:18 PM ^
Anyone ask Rudy T about this?
October 7th, 2022 at 10:30 PM ^
Outside of super humans like Lebron and Duncan, NBA players age more like milk than wine. I think Draymond thinks he’s more valuable than his at this point in his career.
October 8th, 2022 at 2:43 AM ^
Draymomd is a cocksucker and I would tell everyone around as long as he lives I’m throwing one on him for the rest of time whenever I see him.

I am not a fan of Green, but to his credit - he publicly owned up to his actions and apologized to Poole AND Poole's family.

"No. 1, I was wrong for my actions," Green said. He added that he has apologized to Poole and Poole's family.
"There's a huge embarrassment that comes with [this]," Green said. "Not only for myself, as I was the one who committed the action ... but the embarrassment that Jordan has to deal with and that this team has to deal with, this organization has to deal with. But also Jordan's family. His family saw that video. His mother, his father saw that video. If my mother saw that video, I know how my mother would feel."
