USC and UCLA. Welcome!
Holy flipping cats:

If I am way too late, I apologize. But yes, let's join the Pac-whatever, and have cautious dialog with the ACC and build something worth having.
Prepare for the onslaught.
EDIT: Are you trying to win the award for "SIAP 10 times" at the MGoAwards this year?
Absolutely! I get to shake Fred Jackson's hand live onstage, right?
Or maybe you get to give Fred Jackson a hand jive onstage, right?
The only thing that matters is being competitive with the SEC.
If this brings 5 stars and TV dollars to the B1G, IT DOESN'T MATTER WHICH TEAM is winning, including our enemies. Because it guarantees our coffers are full.
At this point just have our own 20+ team league and forget everyone else? SEC can outwhore each other by themselves.
You cannot forget everyone else. That's what the B12 and Pac12 desperately was hoping to do.
Two 20+ team league is absolutely where we're going.
And if we're not competitive with the SEC, THEY will eventually start raking in way more superior TV money, and starting picking off the B1G.
I was only half serious…but do you see any scenario in which our league would be competitive vs SEC outside USC/OSU?
We need to keep adding great recruiting grounds and more $$$$$.
Usually that has been North Carolina and Virginia. But with the NIL, I don't know how much of that matters anymore.
USC?
Roughly 64 teams are considered power 5, then you have independents like BYU and ND, and some teams in the American. If we get two 20 team leagues, what are those other 20-30 teams going to do? Would they band together and be a 3rd super conference? Would they stay separate and be a middle tier between the top and G5?
If you are too late??? IF???
TBF to OP it's being reported now (Pete Thamel tweeted like 10 minutes ago) that the B10 has accepted USC and UCLA's applications and the thread from earlier today was speculation/rumor.
EDIT: USC Athletics just tweet it. They're in.
Well, in that case, this is worthy of a new post.
To be fair to OP, the first post on this topic would still be on the front page if OP didn't create yet another one on it.
Yeah, crap. Sorry.
It's all in good fun. I was just getting an early start on this weekend's shit-posting, shit-talking, and shit-stirring.
Obligatory "I can't believe Keith Jackson died"
You mean, ‘Whoa Nellie’ Keith Jackson? When? He will be missed.
These pretzels are making me thirsty
I guess they are making a sequel to Top Gun too.
It’s officially official. Both SC and UCLA have announced it on their Twitter accounts.
Fair enough! Sorry for being a dufus. Thankfully I don't care about MGoPoints. I have been reading this stupid blog all day and missed this until my daughter alerted me to it.
So, please humor me. Is this real? Because if it is, I have a modicum of positve feelings about it.
Good. Who's next?
ND and Oregon (and uncle Phil and his Nike money)
Time to trade Rutgers and Maryland to the MAC for cash considerations.
And you lose the massive East coast TV markets - NYC-New Jersey, Baltimore, D.C...........
I legitimately believe there are more Boston Red Sox fans in NYC than Rutgers fans.
USC = Rutgers, but fast.
and left handed
University of McGil is next
So…are we still going to play Texas and OU in 24, 25, 26 and 27? I was planning road trips, but would rather go to LA
Welcome the USC Song Girls to the Big Ten, we’re glad to have you. 🥰
also FUCK STANFORD!
Hmmm. Unfamiliar. Had to Google. I reiterate my OP above: "Holy flipping cats."
Username checks out :)
accurate, james bond got herpes from stanford
Seriously. I hear Jimbo is looking at the Vikings
Is this transformational or transactional?
Definitely both.
This move probably helps Michigan with Dante considering Oregon right now will be in a worthless conference in 2024.
Uh, they might be in the B1G too
They aren’t right now and might not be until signing day is over.
I think more teams are coming. hopefully they are looking at Oregon, Washington, Arizona, Cal, Stanford, Colorado, Syracuse, Georgia Tech, Virginia, Kansas, Duke and UNC. Miami and a Texas team would essentially be checkmate!!!
I’m not sure if true or not but I had read where PAC 12 athletics start back up in July for a new year and if a team doesn’t make a move before then, they must stay until at least 2025. If that was true then the Bigten may be looking at another conference for some teams. Why just invite USC and UCLA if you wanted more from the PAC? What other money markets are there?
I will confess that I have been drinking, but I am unable to convert your post into standard English. Could you please repost?
Are you talking to me?
Yes, but all good. I seriously was confused and wanted to respond semi-intelligently.
I am not sure how to clarify any further. I read something today where apparently if any other PAC 12 teams haven’t opted to join a other conference by the end of today then they have to wait until 2025 to join. I have no idea if that is true or not. Also, why just announce these two teams if we are going after other PAC 12 teams also? Seems like you would do it all at the same time from the same conference. Maybe the Bigten is content at 16 teams? I also asked what other programs would provide a big tv market and revenue? Apparently the ACC programs are out of the equation.
I just named them.
