No Colin Smith or Gregg Glenn looks like. I'm interested to see how those visits this month shake out.

I don't think Yohan Traore's top 10 was discussed on this site but the G-League, Texas, and Gonzaga were all not included after previously being considered top contenders. Michigan has to get him on campus, but we should have a good shot if we do.

Around the Big Ten:

  • Indiana picked up a commit from 5* Jalen Hood-Schifino. Probably a name to know as he looks to be a thorn in our side in the future. Indiana has had a good off-season in general so I'm curious how they look on the court.
  • MSU picked up their point guard of the future in 4* Tre Holloman, a football/basketball star. He looks more athletic than their previous point guards and isn't 5'8" like Loyer so he's got that going for him.
  • Northwestern somehow picked up a Top100 who had Kansas, Texas, and Oregon offers in Rowan Brumbaugh. Really good get for them as he was pretty impressive this summer.
  • Matt D fave Cam Whitmore is down to 3 schools: Villanova, Illinois, and UNC. I'm probably rooting for Villanova here, but there is a decent chance we see him in the Big Ten.

Yep I think Akins will be really good and could blow up after 2-3 years. Holloman would probably slide in after that.

I think they decided they'd rather have a 4 than another wing. Between Jett and Bufkin there may not be as much opportunity there as Whitmore would want. It seems like they want to reserve one scholarship for a transfer or an NBA draft return, so we really only have one spot left after Jett.

On Whitmore, it sounds like Maryland wanted him really bad and him cutting them came as a shock. Turgeon is on a Harbaugh-esque low confidence extension so they may be seeing similar recruiting struggles.

cool to see, but I am not really confident in ESPN rankings...

Still, Tarris Reed will be a top 40 ish recruit by the time everything is said and done I believe.
