I’m one of the biggest basketball slappies on here but I’m just not ready to get into it yet. The conference champ game is coming up and then hopefully the playoffs. I’ll enjoy the game against Carolina coming up but since Saturday I’ve dialed back my hoops fandom for now.

I'm in the same boat. As a huge basketball fan I'll watch Tuesday then quickly forget it about win or lose because my mind is on Saturday.

If you’re referring to me, I don’t have a “deal”, for the first time in a long time I’m not currently desperately waiting for the next hoops game. That says a lot about how well the football season has went. I’m a huge basketball fan, even more so than football, but I’m currently still in football mode. So I guess that would be my “deal” bro.

This is going to take a massive overhaul and I'm not optimistic. But I'd love to be "proven wrong". Missing March is going to really suck after the high of this football season wears off by February.

Missing March? You're absolutely crazy if you dont think this is a tournament team. They'll figure things out and be a force by mid-Winter.

That ranking is fair, possibly a bit too high still. The team has defensive issues, rebounding issues, turnover issues, FT shooting issues. They have not played up to the pre-season hype. Not even close.
That said, they will have a big opportunity at UNC to right many wrongs and get this season going in the right direction again.

Settle the hell down...
This team is quite young and features new players everywhere. So what if they're not ranked in the top 10? Give the new guys some time to find their footing in the college game - they will be a massive help later in the season. Additionally, its a very new dynamic from last year - allowing time to jell will make it easier, and more fun, to watch them grow.
They'll be fine.

A lot to clean up (more Diabate in the rotation, and we desperately need the Houstan/Williams combo to play better), and we have until the Conference season in January to work it out. Have seen spurts from both of them , so fingers crossed

I don't know what to make of this team, but the obvious areas that need work are shooting and avoiding turnovers. I have to believe that Juwan and his staff have been around long enough to know that you need to spread the court by hitting 3s in modern basketball. I'm curious if they'll juggle the lineup a bit if Brooks continues to be our only reliable outside shooter - maybe throwing in Zeb, Barnes or Nunes to see what happens.

This team will get better, but expectations need to be adjusted. This is a 8 or 9 seed in the NCAA tourament (hopefully). This is not a 4-5 seed. They need time to gel. And Collins needs to take over at PG permanently.
