Twitter Practice (Updating)

I know everyone isn't a big Twitter fan, including myself, but I am hooked today with the BTN and updates from practice. If you get a chance follow: BigTenNetwork BTNDaveRevsine ____ Some notable "tweets" so far: Best hit of the day so far -- from Troy Woolfolk (Butch's kid). Lots of "oohs" and "ahhs" from everyone watching the drill Again -- intersting to see difference in philosophy. I've seen more WR's working on blocking in 1st 20 mins than last 2 days combined (at OSU and PSU) Amazing how much smaller Michgan's skill guys are than OSU and PSU. Not a positive or a negative -- just a different philosophy. Initial impression -- Forcier has a nice arm. Looks good. Throws well on run. Robinson a tad more inconsistent, but still fine for scheme. Vincent Smith looks really good -- tremendous move in an open-field tackling drill. Just 5'6", but tough to catch Lot of talking and teaching going on with OL group. Pretty obvious from watching Patrick Omameh for 10 minutes that he'll be able to help It's amazing how poised and confident Forcier looks. As Howard said to me, "he has 'it'". Just has an impressive air about him More on Denard: He has better touch and a tighter spiral than I predicted on the long ball. Just threw a nice deep pass (INC). Lot of emphasis on one on one tackling -- which was a liability for this team last year. Hard to tell from practice, but looks better Will Campbell looking good -- nice play to bat down a Sheridan pass. Sheridan running exclusively with the 2's, FWIW Tate Forcier is the PERFECT QB for the Michigan system. Good arm, very comfortable throwing on the run and good speed and scrambling ability

I'm seriousl considering The Dish instead of cable tv--and my wife works for our local cable tv company, so we get cable free. But farkin' A--the bastards won't bring the BTN on board! And even where I live--people want it! In fact, I know several people that have The Dish just to get the BTN (not to mention The Dish is cheaper than cable out here by a mile and a quarter).

From Dave Birkett:
Michigan's punt returners are having problems catching (or judging) the ball. During the morning punt period, with no oncoming cover team, return men Carlos Brown, Terrence Robinson and Martavious Odoms dropped three consecutive catchable balls. Mathews finally broke the streak with an easy snag on a line drive punt near the sideline.
I understand that teams that fumble a lot one year tend not to fumble a lot the next just because of dumb luck but why can't we just have the guy with good hands return punts?

That is ridiculous. You would think at least Odoms would be able to catch the ball because he did it a lot last year. I wouldn't be surprised to see Mathews in on punt returns just because he can keep the ball safe. He won't gain too many yards, but at least he can catch it.
