Twitter activity of players after the meeting: HARBAUGH

Submitted by DISCUSS Man on

We have Joe Kerridge who just tweeted this-

@umichfootball: Happy Birthday, Jim. #GoBlue pic.twitter.com/qfuhG2aTDl

We had Jack Wangler tweeteing emojis of swimmers. Swim lanes, anyone? That tweet has since been removed.

We also had one from Khalid Hill of a basketball player (Kobe Bryant when he had hair, I think) cradling a trophy with his comment being "my current emotion". That tweet was removed shortly after it was posted.

Anyone else got any?

Question in general about players' twitter accounts...who monitors them? Same social media people in the department as those who tweet out game scores for example, or is there another person responsible for this?

Albeit in smaller sports.  Generally, the NCAA has people whose only job is to monitor student athletes' activities on social media (Facebook, twitter, instagram, et al.) In addition to this, I've heard Michigan also has people who specifically look over student athletes.  I am not sure if they are appointed by the individual sports' coaches or the UM Ath. Dept. at large.

No, he just quoted the original @umichfootball tweet from earlier in his tweet. He didn't actually tweet that.

But that does make it a lot more interesting that Joe, himself, quoted instead of retweeting. Anyone can retweet but quoting a tweet is more special.

We will all know soon enough, and I am sure the players will not be saying much. This effects then way more than us. Just hoping for stability in our program. I am sure they want that also.
