Twitter activity of players after the meeting: HARBAUGH
We have Joe Kerridge who just tweeted this-
“@umichfootball: Happy Birthday, Jim. #GoBlue pic.twitter.com/qfuhG2aTDl”
— Joe Kerridge (@JKerridge36) December 23, 2014
We had Jack Wangler tweeteing emojis of swimmers. Swim lanes, anyone? That tweet has since been removed.
We also had one from Khalid Hill of a basketball player (Kobe Bryant when he had hair, I think) cradling a trophy with his comment being "my current emotion". That tweet was removed shortly after it was posted.
Anyone else got any?

"No coach is more important than the team."
December 23rd, 2014 at 6:30 PM ^
The team, the team, the team.
December 23rd, 2014 at 9:31 PM ^
,and if we think that way, all of us, everything that you do, you take into consideration what effect does it have on my Team?
December 23rd, 2014 at 10:53 PM ^
Well no, Harbaugh wouldnt be more important than The Team, but he would be about as close as you can get lol
December 23rd, 2014 at 11:12 PM ^
Because you can go into professional football, you can go anywhere you want to play after you leave here. You will never play for a Team again. You'll play for a contract.

No eater is more important than the last eater who better be the leader.

Question in general about players' twitter accounts...who monitors them? Same social media people in the department as those who tweet out game scores for example, or is there another person responsible for this?
December 23rd, 2014 at 5:37 PM ^
I assume the AD doesn't have anyone capable to do this since the LOCHDOGG has resigned.
December 23rd, 2014 at 6:51 PM ^
Yeah especially since we don't have iPads, private planes and hell I heard we even don't have computers, smart phones, running water and electricity.

Albeit in smaller sports. Generally, the NCAA has people whose only job is to monitor student athletes' activities on social media (Facebook, twitter, instagram, et al.) In addition to this, I've heard Michigan also has people who specifically look over student athletes. I am not sure if they are appointed by the individual sports' coaches or the UM Ath. Dept. at large.

What a fantastic gif to summarize my reaction. Well done!

He sorta looks like my old roommate Nutmeg. RIP.

Ballsy of Joe to be calling his coach by his first name. I forsee someone running a lot of stairs next week.
December 23rd, 2014 at 5:35 PM ^
No, he just quoted the original @umichfootball tweet from earlier in his tweet. He didn't actually tweet that.
But that does make it a lot more interesting that Joe, himself, quoted instead of retweeting. Anyone can retweet but quoting a tweet is more special.

I'm so confused...
December 23rd, 2014 at 5:36 PM ^
Normally an athlete will call any coach ,coach. I think he was worried about tweeting" happy bday coach Harbaugh" and settining the internetz on fire. Just a thought.
December 24th, 2014 at 11:09 AM ^
Yes but once a coach always a coach. Even if you haven't been coached by him it's still respectful to call the greats coach.

This is what ran through my head when I read that. If only I had the ability to upvote.

Shit, he looked alright on that fake punt.

United Eagles football? Blake? Jason? Tom?
December 23rd, 2014 at 5:43 PM ^
We will all know soon enough, and I am sure the players will not be saying much. This effects then way more than us. Just hoping for stability in our program. I am sure they want that also.
December 23rd, 2014 at 5:44 PM ^
I'd feel much better about this if he said, "Happy birthday, coach."
December 23rd, 2014 at 5:57 PM ^
doesn't mean he's THEIR coach. A doctor's title is always "Doctor" even if they're not your doctor. #plausibledeniability
December 23rd, 2014 at 6:03 PM ^
Yeah, but you don't call YOUR coach by his first name.
December 23rd, 2014 at 6:13 PM ^
you do realize that he quoted the tweet from official football team account.
December 23rd, 2014 at 6:19 PM ^
I coach my daughter's softball team. Should I have co-workers call me "coach?"
December 23rd, 2014 at 7:19 PM ^
I'll bet there'll be a lot of "how are you today coach", I am doing great and you, coach" water cooler discussions.
December 24th, 2014 at 12:19 AM ^
having other people call you "doctor" if you played "doctor" when you're little, unless you made a living at it.
December 23rd, 2014 at 5:47 PM ^
I can't take the anticipation anymore! Me until Dec. 28:

did he call coach hoke "brady"?
December 23rd, 2014 at 6:28 PM ^
He didnt call him Jim, the official team Twitter account did. He just quoted the tweet
December 23rd, 2014 at 6:29 PM ^
He didn't call him "Jim." He just retweeted the UMichFootball account's happy bday tweet. So UMichFootball called him "Jim."
