Personally, winning the big ten is worth more than a little extra sparty suck. I don't think we need their help though, so I'll remain neutral.

Either way it is a win. Illinois wins and put a fork in MSU's season.
MSU wins and our banner is near inevitable.
Either way, we likely win the BigTen regular season and MSU is left out.

NO, NO, NO We have plenty of opportunity to win out. I was looking forward to a big game against Illinois but a Spartan victory here just means Illinois isn't that good and maybe I have reason to have white knuckles when we play MSU (they seem to be getting better.)
Edit: Don't need to root for Sparty. They have it in the bag.

I guess that as long as OSU blows Sparty out of the water, I can live with them holding onto their lead tonight. I do not want to hear any of this "Sparty is back nonsense".

Personally I think it would be a lot of fun for them to win a couple games and get back onto the bubble only to get blown out by us twice to end their season and their tournament dreams.

I had the same problem. But you can watch the abbreviated version on youtube. Says highlights but it's every basket and cuts out all the downtime.

Both teams look terrible right now. I flipped the game on at about the 5:30 mark. In the last 2 minutes of game time there hasn't been a point scored. Hasn't even been a good shot taken.

Illini clearly have some talent, but they are nowhere near the well-oiled machine that UM is. They look very sloppy and streaky to me. Just a lot of hero ball.

Illinois has this bad tendency to play to the level of their opponents. They're golden if they make the second weekend, but could fuck up and lay an egg against a good 8 or 9.

The team has been focused all year. Only game we lost was sans Brooks at last minute.
I really don't see us losing another game, I hope we face Minnesota in B1G tournament.

They better hope to have a better outcome in the second half than northwestern did earlier this season. NW was up 15 at halftime and lost by 25. Underwood is going to lay into them.
