Thought he was good enough to go to a bigger program but hey
Good luck Tru. He definitely stepped up and made the team better.
He is but Tru as a feature back tearing up the Big Sky is the most fun proxy outcome.

I wish him nothing but the best. He gave his all. Him going to Northern Colorado is an indicator of the talent level we have been playing with at RB. Higdon was our last serviceable RB and the dude didn't get drafted. Can't imagine what our offense would look like with an NFL quality RB.
Right. Charbonnet, Haskins and Evans are clearly Big Sky level talent.
Charbonnet looked amazing before he got hurt.
Dude, is Haskins going to get drafted? No. Is Evans going to get drafted? No? Charbonnet looked good, but not great. I hope he continues to develop. We haven't had an NFL calibre running back in a decade or more.
I usually like to speak in absolutes when talking about draft prospects of players who just finished their freshmen year. That way everyone will know that my opinion is right and theirs is wrong
Did I say that Charbonnet, Haskins and Evans were Big Sky Level running backs? Didn't say that and don't believe that.
What Haskins and Evans are are serviceable running backs. They are average B10 running backs. They will scare absolutely nobody. They have close to zero threat to take it to the house. No defenses are worried about them or game planning for them. Charbonnet looked good, but not great. He had injury issues and hopefully he can get healthy and be a true game changing back that we haven't had in years.
Just look objectively at the running backs we have had over the last 10 plus years and compare them to the backs Ohio State, Wisconsin and Michigan State have had. That is just 3 teams in the B10 that have had better backfields than us for over a decade or more...not even speaking about the rest of the country.

Nobody was worried about Mike Hart going to the house but you couldn’t stop him from moving the chains.
Yeah, and thank goodness for Mike Hart's talent. I am thankful for all the wins against Ohio State he helped us get.

With Evans it depends how they use him. When they do dump-off passes with him to get him in space, he's deadly. When they run him straight into the line, he's cannon fodder.
Hopefully Gattis will put him to good use, because he's fast and can make people miss. He doesn't have the frame to run through or over people. Evans was one of those guy criminally misused, I'm hoping that will change.

I'd settle for an NFL quality QB.

There's a glitch in the system. I keep trying to reply to the first comment, and yet it keeps showing up here under the second comment.
In Soviet Russia, the system glitches you.
You think I'm following you? Look over there. That guy is following me.

I guess I did too, but I guess if you figure it's your last year of playing football, it might be enticing too to go to a slightly lower level and hopefully get a shot to be the feature guy one last time
I think the connection that Dylan McCaffrey‘s dad Ed is the head coach there played a part. Best of luck to Tru..I hope he thrives there
That makes sense. If I remember correctly Tru was West Point bound before walking on at M. I don't know much about Northern Colorado, but I've never heard of it, so I'm assuming it is just a good directional state school like Eastern, Western and Central. In other words Tru went to play football.... ...which good for him.
Sounds like this could be true.

Excellent point. Also, in reviewing the coaching staff, I seed that Max McCaffrey is WR coach.
Truuuuuuuuuuui!
The man could run for office!
Good luck to Tru...Run over 'em in Big Sky.
Will miss watching his pass protection skills.
You have Charbonnet's pass protection skills to watch still
Very cool. May be teeing up a career in Colorado. Who knows?
Are you hinting at a career like Mitch's?
"Come on down to Tru's Nug Shack for some Truuuuuuuu-ley spectacular bud"
Love it. My Alma mater where I played my college ball. Hope he helps get them back on top
I could easily see him going for 1000 yards at that level.
Hope to see him have 1,000 rush yards and 500 receiving yards and most important 20 pancakes on blitzing linebackers.
Shit. You will be missed man. Godspeed.
At least he waited until after the spring game.
Good for him. I hope he rushes for 1500 yards.
Evans won’t even play Rb probably; slot ninja

God help us if that is the case.
April 19th, 2020 at 11:07 AM ^
Nah Charbonnet for sure with Evans as the change-of-pace back/slot/H-back type.
Tru is going to be unstoppable at that level. I know he had limited carries at UM but when he did rush he averaged 5+ YPC
Feels like he could've done a lot better than Northern Colorado.
The Big Sky can't handle the Truth!!!!
Statisticians will be busy at N. Colorado this fall - hopefully.
He’s gonna torch those defenses.
I might have to tune in for a Big Sky conference game this season. Will be fun to watch Tru play against guys his own size!
It’s weird how the other team is so psyched about a transfer from Michigan thought the vibe was moody around here...
First McDooooooom, now Truuuuuuu. I suppose it’s moot since there will be no fans in the stadium next season, anyway.

Greeley. North until you smell it. West until you step in it.
That's what they say in Platteville anyway.

Good luck to a Tru Michigan Man.
I can see why he left to get more playing time. He will be the starter and he will easily get over 1000 yards rushing. Best of luck at N. Colorado.
